25.01.2022 Little Dante receiving his acupuncture treatment whilst falling asleep
24.01.2022 People often ask me how I get pets to stay still during treatments. The answer is building a trusting relationship with them so they accept the process. Trust between a practitioner and pets is as important as it is in people. Heres an example of gorgeous little hyperactive Trixie receiving an electroacupuncture treatment for a knee issue. I have included a video of her after treatment to prove she hasnt been sedated!
22.01.2022 Just a quick word to all my human and animal clients regarding my practice during this C19 pandemic
21.01.2022 How could you not love this hunk of a gentle giant called Loki. A true gentleman who truly embraced his acupuncture treatment

21.01.2022 This week I lost my baby boy, Aussie. He was my absolute best friend and not having him is a grief unbearable. However, the unconditional love they bring us is worth it all. I thank Aussie for my cherished time with him and all who was blessed to know him.
20.01.2022 Absolutely great idea!! Just don’t leave unsupervised if you have a puppy or dog that likes to tear things up. She does refer to dry food in this, and as all my doggy clients would know, I prefer a balanced home prepared diet . Dried liver, or pieces of dehydrated meat, would be perfect
19.01.2022 Congrats Dominie and Cain! I could not be prouder to have been part of your journey https://poweracupuncture.com.au/
19.01.2022 A simple summers drink with a bonus. Not only is it delicious, it also benefits the liver! Which could be helpful in the festive weeks ahead

14.01.2022 Hello and thank you for viewing my Facebook page. I am a Veterinary Chinese Medicine Practitioner plus a registered Acupuncturist for people. I only do house calls for pets (because they simply respond better in their home environment) and I work out of Clarity Massage and Wellness Centre in North Adelaide to treat people. There are many afflictions Chinese medicine may help with, including musculoskeletal problems, dermatology disorders, sinusitis, autoimmune disorders, gastrointestinal issues, womens health, migraines etc. Please feel free to contact me with any queries

12.01.2022 When you visit see a Traditional Chinese Medicine practitioner you will be asked a series of questions, one of which is how is your emotional state?. This may leave you scratching your head if youve just come in for a sore knee, a migraine or anything seemingly unrelated to emotionsbut feeling really does impact how you heal. 09.01.2022 Thanks @claritywellness can’t wait to get back into the swing of things! Next up, it’s Caro @power_acupuncture (& Blase ) . Our resident animal lover has been giving extra love to her pets during this time - her super cute doggo Blase & her chookens (swipe through for more pics!)... . Caro’s also been getting busy in the kitchen. Check out her pearl barley porridge with citrus, sesame & tahini - a breakfast adaptation from a Yotam Ottolenghi dessert recipe. @ Adelaide, South Australia See more
09.01.2022 Crystallized Ginger This is an amazing, warming sweet treat - enjoy it with a hot cuppa during a cold winters night. Its so easy to make, I usually do a big batch then share it out amongst friends (it makes a great gift). You can always get fancy and dip the crystallised ginger in some dark melted chocolate as well - allow to set and it will be even more amazing! It not only helps ward colds away but it is also amazing for MORNING SICKNESS or TRAVEL SICKNESS. So if you, or someone you know, suffer from this make a batch up - theyll love you for it! https://poweracupuncture.com.au/a-warming-medicinal-treat/

05.01.2022 A warming winter tonic - a shot a day will help keep colds at bay. A nourishing tonic made from coconut water simmered for an hour with ginger, lemongrass, chilli, coriander and thai basil. You can always omit coriander if you don’t like it, and chilli if you don’t like the heat. If you have a sweet palate add some honey. Simmer, cool, strain and refrigerate. All you need is 25mls per day. Full recipe is on my website. Stay safe and warm! https://poweracupuncture.com.au/a-warming-winter-tonic/

01.01.2022 As many of you know or may not know I lost my furbaby, Aussie, on Monday afternoon. It has prompted me to speak about grief and how I have experienced it in the past as a vet but Ive never really spoken out about it. I keep hearing people say in these situations just keep distracted, go to work itll stop you thinking about it, just keep busy. All these comments come out of love. However, grief is a normal emotion that should be felt. It is ok. Crying is a strength, not a weakness. Vulnerability is a strength, not a weakness. So taking time off to process the grief is ok. When you lose someone you love dont try to push the feelings away, it is ok to take time to feel the loss, process the grief and cherish the memories.
