24.01.2022 ATO DEBTS Usually the ATO winds up about 92 businesses per month and that has increased to over 300 per month. The ATO used to wait until the business debt was around $340,000 and now their new average is $93,000. Besides the winding up applications the ATO is also undertaking debt recovery tools such as Director Penalty Notices, garnishee notices (when they take control over the funds that hit the business account) and also seeking third-party property as security for repayment agreements. If your business is in debt with the ATO then please contact them and enter into a manageable payment arrangement that you know you wont default on.

16.01.2022 Here is some business food for thought for July 1. It is that time of year where we think about whether we need to increase our prices as our costs have risen. There are two strategies that you could look at to increase your net profit in the new financial year, and yes one of those is to increase your prices. With the amount of apps and online products at the moment have you thought about strategy number 2? Seek out a cheaper product, seek out unnecessary expenses in your business and bam you have increased your net profit without impacting your customers. If you need assistance to find these expenses, please reach out and give me a call.

This is a fantastic solution to a payables problem for sure.

13.01.2022 Confused with all the news around the governments stimulus packages? Are you struggling with whether you qualify for any business assistance? Are you worried about where your income source is going to come from? The big question when this is all over is "WHAT DOES OUR BUSINESS FUTURE HOLD"...... In the meantime, have a good think about your business costs that you can possibly negotiate a reduction of, or enter into a payment plan to get through these tough times. Your suppliers may well be in the same position as you and stressing as well, so best to be in contact with them and work this all out and be on the same page. A good starting point may be to cease your advertising for new customers and focus on your current customers and get them through this time as best you can. These are the people that will be the first ones back on your doorstep to help you get back up and running. If you have any questions around the stimulus packages please feel free to click on the send message button below and I will try and help you as much as I can. https://www.abc.net.au//coronavirus-economy-seco/12078476 #smallbusiness #stimulus #businessstruggles #businesshelp

10.01.2022 In these unprecedented times, we realise the operating rhythm of your business may be significantly interrupted. We expect some businesses may need to reduce employees hours or trim the workforce by retrenching staff. If this scenario applies to your business, the following temporary Superannuation Access rule changes may be worth sharing with your employees.... The Australian Government is allowing eligible individuals Tax-Free access of up to $10,000 of their superannuation in 2019-20 and a further $10,000 in 2020-21. The precise criteria is still evolving, but what we know at the moment is: Eligible people must apply via the www.my.gov.au site, from mid-April 2020 for the early release of superannuation, as above, based on the following: Eligible applicants must be: Unemployed, or Eligible to receive various forms of Centrelink benefit as per the Australian Government Economic response to the coronavirus - Early access to superannuation Fact Sheet OR On or after 1 January 2020: The person was made redundant, or The employees working hours were reduced by 20% or more Sole Traders are also eligible to apply for access to superannuation if their business was suspended or there was a reduction in their turnover of 20% or more

If you think youve been scammed, phone us on 1800 008 540. Find more information, including examples of scams, at https://www.ato.gov.au//on/how-to-verify-or-report-a-scam/
