25.01.2022 Take me back to Tassie What a gorgeous part of the world

25.01.2022 Merry Christmas from us Sending love and health to everyone after a tough #2020

22.01.2022 Why is keeping it simple effective? Less stress Don’t overwhelm yourself with making huge changes in your diet. ... Start with the low hanging fruit (pun intended here) ... what is 1 or 2 things you can change this week that will make a difference? For example aim for at least 2 serves of fruit per day. Have 1 serve of fruit with your breakfast e.g. banana on toast, berries with oats, sliced peaches with weetbix. Have your second serve of fruit as a snack instead of opting for a muesli bar or pre-packaged items. Pick 1 new recipe to try this week that incorporates more plants in your diet. One of my go to recipes is the Mexican Tofu Scramble .... see my website for the recipe. It is fast and simple to make ... you can have it for breakfast, lunch or dinner.

21.01.2022 Plant protein for breakfast. Instead of going straight for the same old eggs and bacon ... try something like this. This was a delightful meal I got at @momowholefood high protein: white bean hummus and tempeh carbohydrates: tasty sourdough

21.01.2022 While I am not a fan of takeaway banana bread I am a massive fan of making my own. Doing the COVID safe thing and shopping with my mask on. Thanks @taylorshealthygrocers for hooking me up with some wholemeal spelt flour to make this yummy snack. Try using wholemeal flour to increase your fibre intake. ... @wollongongcentralofficial #centralcollective

20.01.2022 What do you do just for FUN? Getting active is not always about the amount of reps you can do or the total calories burned. Being active can be a form of recovery or part of relaxation. I love the idea of meditation but I just can't seem to make it stick. For me I feel most at peace when I get outside in nature just for fun. No timing, no step counting ... just fun.

08.01.2022 Is there anything better than starting Sunday with a new book and a coffee? What are you currently reading for fun?

08.01.2022 Health isn't just physical When setting goals for this year take time to consider ... Mental health: take time to relax, try meditation, journal Social health: spend time with the people that support you Spiritual health: this doesn't have to be religion, it could be spirituality or random acts of kindness... Physical health: prepare some meals that you enjoy and support good nutrition, eat more fruit or sneak in some extra vegies, walk more. See more

02.01.2022 Our hormones play a massive role in athletic performance and training. Women have different physiological needs. It is more difficult to hit high intensities and recover during the high hormone phase. ... However, you can make dietary changes to offset some of these unwanted side effects. Did you know that once your period starts your hormones actually favour performance? (Sims, 2016) Things I suggest all females do: Track your cycle.
