21.01.2022 Check out these ideas for focusing on at home to keep your energy up and being a great example for your kids and communities. https://www.linkedin.com//keeping-energised-empowered-time
18.01.2022 Are you managing all the fear and threat to keep yourself enjoying day-to-day ISO life? This is a fantastic graphic (thanks WBC) to show the different levels of consciousness we can work from. Stress and fear will be impacting where you are. It is worth remembering it is up to us to reflect on where we are, and deliberately support and nurture ourselves to move wider in the circles to feel safer and freer to respond to life rather than reacting to it. No doubt about it, it's is hard to move up the levels but when you think about it it is much harder to live with the negative impacts of staying in fear, it might give you the needed motivation to move. What self-reflective practices, exercise or nurturing things are you doing to accompany yourself through?
13.01.2022 Hello beautiful peeps with dreams and goals There are a lot of us who aren't in the essential services who are not sure what to do or how to help in this crisis, while we see those with pivotal jobs and responsibilities stressed to the max. They are wearing the brunt of the risk, the overexposure, the time pressures, the fear and the obvious responsibilities of their roles. So what can the rest of us do to help? The responsibility we have is to keep the energy up; to support ...the supporters with kindness and help, and to keep their emotions afloat. We are not being irresponsible if we continue to share joy, laughter and appreciation, or if we find a silver lining in every situation, and if we keep generating belief in our futures. We are being irresponsible if we don't. That is our role - while the rest are busy dealing with the care, containment and cleanup - we need to help propagate belief in a regenerated world. Everything that is now a reality once started out as a thought. And it isn't easy to do this with the new pressures and fears in our lives and the facts effecting the world as we know it. So we need to stay connected and supportive, we need to remind each other of the bigger picture - this situation is not personal. To paraphrase someone famous - we can't fully determine what we will be impacted by in life, but we can choose our response. There are so many people putting out fantastic content online to help us stay creative and emotionally empowered - so do your bit, find some that resonate with you and join in - a better world needs our focus. Check out my zoom call tomorrow night where I share a fantastic technique to help stay focused in this trying time. 05.01.2022 I've headed to Canberra to be with family to sit this 'situation' out, thanks family. New house, new housemates, more fun connection, less personal downtime, and the same social restriction adjustments we are all experiencing. It's in times like these; * when our normal routines have gone out the window, * the stocked up kitchen has become our feel good factor and... * our kids & families are vying for our work attention and zapping any previous 'me' time we used to have, it's here that making time for our personal growth becomes more important than ever so we manage the stress that often accompanies change we don't want. Here are a few tips I'm trying out to stay on top. Being; * more structured in keeping up exercise to keep my mood, cognition and immunity up, * more focused and efficient at hitting off my big 3 actions each day to make sure I am still moving toward my goals, * more attentive to reading, watching or doing whatever personally keeps me inspired and creative, * more heart-centered, attentive and forgiving through mediations and quiet reflection to help me give my best in interactions, * more emotionally protective by managing how much time, thought and influence I give all the covid-19 media coverage, and * silver-lining oriented, looking for all the good bits, fun, connection and opportunities arising in this new landscape. Stay safe, stay energised, stay growth focused. Together we will get through this.
