23.01.2022 Midginbil, NSW Midginbil Eco Resort just suits us. It's the perfect balance of rustic luxury that makes us feel like we're camping in the wild, but we can actually shower the dust of the day off in a plush ensuite. https://powershala.wordpress.com//glamping-midginbil-eco-/

17.01.2022 Finding unexpected pockets of moody magic #RightAtHome We're headed out in to the valley to see the guys at @mtwarningestate this week, and to scope out some sweet spots along the way for you when you come to see @thetweed_nsw

16.01.2022 Our last couple of nights in Tassie looked a little like this. Pretty special place to be invited to to take photos. Eagles Nest Retreat has 3 separate villas that each take in the view of Mt Rolland from every angle. Each villa has at least 3 different spa baths, and for this project Max and I had to take 5 baths in 36hours Not complaining at all. To top it all off we had the best sunsets we've had on our Tassie trip that we got to watch from a hot bath or from inside next to a roaring fire.

15.01.2022 Graham is a details man. He can point out those intricacies in nature that no-one else takes the time to see. He can see the elkhorns clinging to the cliff faces, tiny seedlings of a native tree and the patterns and cut of a fallen rock. Graham and his wife bought this 300 acre property twenty years ago, they've had a few plans over the years on how they wanted to share this pocket in the valley with others, but nothing seemed to fit perfectly. 12.01.2022 Let's start by saying, better late than never in writing this. Top End Safari Camp has got to have been our wildest adventure yet. And we get to give you our unique perspective, cause somehow... we ended up working there... https://powershala.wordpress.com///25/top-end-safari-camp/

12.01.2022 A staycation on the Tweed at Mt Warning Estate Not a bad border bubble to be stuck in.

10.01.2022 We recently stayed at the Ship Inn Stanley for a few nights to capture some photos and discover the area. Kerry and Alistair have created the most well thought out BnB I think we've ever stayed at. All the art, lights, linen, freshly baked bread and cute nooks and crannies have a story and a purpose. For us this place felt like home, cosy and welcoming. Exactly what you need to retreat to after exploring Stanley's rugged surrounds. We would love to work with more businesses like this

09.01.2022 Oh wow, it has been a while since we updated our Facebook family. With everything that's going on in the world, I highly doubt you care too much But I thought I'd let you know how the last few months have panned out for us and what's next. I'll start by saying, we're very confused. In February we were on our way back to Darwin, cutting straight through the centre from Adelaide. It was supposed to be another killer season at Top End Safari Camp, and more wild adventures in ...the Top End with some absolute legends. Anyway, as you can image, the Rona had other plans... for everyone. But before Corona really f***ed s*** up, I flew home (whilst Max completed some coursework in Darwin) to see my family that were visiting from the UK. 3 weeks later, the borders started closing and we all got stuck We were super torn as to whether we should be in Darwin or here at Kingscliff, NSW. For a few days there we had decided that Max would stay in Darwin and I would stay here. Terrible idea. So one fine morning Max was prepping the boat to go out on the flick for some wet season Barra When he suddenly thought, what am I doing?!?! And so he packed everything in to the car, put the foot on the gas and was down here 3 days later. We are together once more For me this whole thing has been a sort of strange blessing. I really needed and wanted to get back in to nursing, but was also procrastinating cause I was having too much fun whizzing around in helicopters and stuff. To be able to work during this time, I am extremely grateful. And to be able to surf twice a day, Max is extremely grateful And as for our future plans, we still aren't able to think that far ahead. There's quite a bit of money that still needs to saved before we can make a move. At the end on the year if everything went to plan, which it hasn't, we were going to the UK to visit family, in particular my badass grandma who is 99 this year. Then we were going to take our roadtrip life to New Zealand. For now we are enjoying being stuck with family and extended family. And as everything starts to open up we'll see how we can support our local community more and more, and go from there We really hope that you and your family are doing well at this time. 08.01.2022 Our dreamiest beaches - all of them. Like, literally every beach makes the cut on this list, the Tweed is just THAT GOOD. Actually, there are a couple just across the river that we haven't added yet but they'll be on here very soon, or you'll find it on our "Secret Spots" post coming soon...
