22.01.2022 Hooray Hooray! Finally some great new changes to wake up this morning PSTC tennis outdoor courts can reopen once we have all safety measures in place and have approval from council. Upon reopening, and until further notice, ... - the clubhouse must remain closed. - We expect toilets will be able to open and will confirm as soon as possible. - Groups of up to 10 are allowed from a maximum of 2 households. We don't yet know if this is per court or per venue and whether or not a coach will be included in the 10. - You can travel up to 25km from your home to PSTC court And the best is yet to come .. From the 1st November we can commence competitions again! The safety of our PSTC community is paramount and we will endeavor to keep you safe and updated so we can all get back on the court. Take care

11.01.2022 The numbers are coming down, we're nearly there, let's stay the course and hopefully be back on court in some capacity for Step 2 of the Roadmap. Tennis Victoria have been working hard, advocating strongly for a return to tennis. They are confident they have made positive progress and hope to see this reflected in Government announcements regarding Step 2 which we expect to come into effect on Monday 28 September. Following a meeting with VicSport and State Government yesterd...ay (22nd September), we understand guidelines for community sport and recreation will be published in the next few days. We anticipate this will mean, broadly, court hire can resume, 1-1 coaching will be allowed and 10 people per outdoor venue. However, the legal directions that allow Tennis Victoria to confirm this change are often not available until the night of the change coming into effect. Please understand that confirmation from us will not reach you until we have these legal directions. In the meantime Power Street Tennis Club is reviewing our COVID Safe plan to ensure we are ready for any reopening might be announced. We will endeavour to keep you updated on next steps as soon as we are informed. Until then take care, stay safe and we’ll see you soon on the court

08.01.2022 PSTC is pleased to announce that we have recieved notification from council to approve the re-opening of the courts. To maintain the safety of our members and the PSTC community there are some new protocols that have been put in place. Every player MUST sign in each time they access the courts. The sign in sheet will be located near the clubhouse door. ... Only 10 members can be inside the Tennis Club gates at one time - no guests Singles is permitted Doubles is permitted - must come from no more than 2 households. No social gatherings are allowed at Power St Tennis Club The Clubhouse must remain closed at all times. For members wishing to play under lights, the light/ coin meters have now been mounted on the outside of the clubhouse (near the clubhouse door). 5 X $2 coins per hour per court No sharing of equipment (except tennis ball) and please bring your own filled water bottle Maintain social distance of at least 1.5M from all other people at all times Given the demand for the courts, a limit of 1 hour of social tennis is currently in place (if other members are waiting for a court) This is extremely exciting news however we must adhere to the rules outlined above to keep everyone safe. In the unfortunate event that you contract COVID-19 we kindly ask that you contact the club so that we can ensure we are proactive in our safety measures. Take care, stay safe and see you on the court
