23.01.2022 On site today to give the lads a hand. We are beginning to commission, spun a few motors, conveyors and radial stackers today all working well so far. The team have done an awesome job pulling this project together incident free, its a credit to everyone involved... We are almost there

21.01.2022 The year is rapidly coming to an end and we are still powering on, finalising deliveries for our customers. Today we shipped out our 9th and 10th substation for the year to mainland customers. Weve had a big year manufacturing and installing our equipment for clients in several states around Australia and overseas. Our team has completed some awesome projects throughout the year, pump station installations underground and surface, a brand new crusher ore sorter turnkey pro...ject encompassing design, supply, manufacturing installation and commissioning, to name a few. Our new Hobart branch is growing and have made inroads into the mainland water market with a major MCC switch room project in Vic as the pinnicale. We would like to take this opportunity to thank all our customers and suppliers for their continued support throughout the year. Also, importantly the great team we have at Powertek, whom have completed our projects without incident, safely and with skilled hands. Its a credit to you all. We are very proud. We will continue to strive to deliver the same level of service and quality into 2019 and look forward to seeing you all in the New Year, cheers. See more

20.01.2022 Another big week at the Powertek office this week. The lads smashed out the final touches on the 1500kVA kiosk substation. We also finished our Switchroom for the same project and sent them both packing off to site. Where our project team were waiting with their little screwdrivers in hand ready to put it all together. Another awesome job team... stay tuned

20.01.2022 It is fair to say we were a little excited this week to receive our new 1500kVA kiosk package substation from our friends in Korea. We have been developing this unit for a number of years in collaboration with IEN Han Chang. The package will be finished off here in our factory by adding the custom LV end using some quality Schneider ACBs and MCCBs. Then shipped to one of our mining projects for installation. These units are available as one off custom design or can be a bulk repetitive design. All with awesome build quality to stand the test of time in any application and competitively priced.

16.01.2022 2018 is now here and the staff at Powertek Australia would like to wish everyone a Happy New Year. As we enter our 20th year in business and now with our Hobart branch open, Its shaping up to be an exciting year for us. With major projects with some of our favorite Mining Customers in Tasmania, Victoria, South Australia and the Philippines and possible builds for New Zealand and part of their earth quake back up contingency plans. These projects include design, construct a...nd installation of substations, MV switchgear, switchrooms and motor control centres. PLC integration and programming is taken care of in house with our close business partnerships. Our High Voltage skills will again be utilised throughout the year on these projects making us the total turnkey electrical engineering powerhouse .. Stay tuned for updates as we progress through these projects as the year rolls on. See more

15.01.2022 The Powertek team have successfully completed a pump station installation underground in South Australia this week. The job was a full turn key electrical project for us. Design, MCC manufacture, program, install and commission. As usual it all went off without a hitch.. Well done lads.

13.01.2022 I spent a few days in Adelaide this week with the advisory team from all states and Schneiders State GMs for Clipsal Schneiders "Club" and "hub". Workshopping some great ideas and strategies to strengthen the organisation ....There are some exciting new events planned for the future. So if you are not a Club Clipsal member, you better get all over it like white on rice, or you may be dissapointed. Pictured -Vic/Tas team with three members from the table voted best workshop group. Delivering many magic bullets on the day.

13.01.2022 RIP: Today is a sad day for us at Powertek, today we say goodbye to one of our former teammates. Michael (Mick,Nazza). Michael was with us for over 13yrs. Starting back in the early 2000's, helping build the Company through the good times and the rough times. He was a tremendous support and give us a reliable confidence to forge ahead. Mick was a truelly respected part of our team, with his calm cheeky nature and low stress approach. Respected by his peers and well respected... by our customers and suppliers also. Michael was not only part of the Powertek family for many years, he was part of my family and part of the Hydro family. He was my neighbour, my boss, my colleague and most importantly my friend. I never concidered Mick as working for me during those 13 years at Powertek , I always thought of him as working with me. I would like to offer our condolences to Jane and the boys on behalf of all past and present staff at Powertek. Mick will be sadly missed, he was one of the good guys in this world. Peter, Kylie and Staff

11.01.2022 This week we attended the Innovation Summit at the Exhibition Center in Sydney, a two day technical extravaganza organised and hosted by Schneider Electric. With between 1300-1500 attendees from around Australia an NZ and approx 400 Schneider staff looking after us, it made for a great event. There are a bunch of exciting new products releasing on to the market in the coming months that will change the way we think in the switchboard world. Schneider also took this opportu...nity to release their brand new Masterpact MTZ Air Circuit Breaker, in what could only be described as an enthusiastic rockstar presentation as big as a metallica concert, all but stopping short of flame jets and biting the head off a fruit bat. We are super keen to start using and introducing our customers to these new products and value add to our business. Stay tuned.... We also had some opportunities for a little networking, swapping wisdom and ideas over a light shandy which always has a good outcome. See more

11.01.2022 Today we celebrate our 21st birthday. We can legally drink in the USA Wooohoo! The past 21 years have been a fantastic journey for us and sometimes a struggle. From our humble beginnings to now a well respected leader in our industry. Our struggles define and determine our success, the people who bask in the long hours and relish the stresses and uncertainties of business ultimately will make it in some way, its not about the victory, its all about enjoying the climb. (loo...sely quoted from a book I once read) I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone that has been associated with our company over this journey and for the support of our customers and suppliers. As we move into our 22nd year we are certainly not taking the foot off the pedal, we are currently building and reshaping our future with new direction and adding specialised services. There is a lot to be said for building a switchboard with the current and ever-changing technical requirements. Its more than screwing a few components into a premade box and calling it a switchboard. So, there is even more to be said for designing, manufacturing, installing and commissioning a complete system. From the High Voltage supply transformers and switchboard right through to the LV end, the MCC, MSB, DB, even the LCS or motor terminals. The perfect example of such a project is our current contract, we have been commissioned to design, manufacture, deliver, install and assist with commissioning of a new 1000V supplied Paste Delivery Systems at one of our mainland mining clients underground operations. The system involves a multiple level installation with nine DBs, control equipment and cabling. Our team has worked tirelessly over the past few months to bring this project together and it is near completion. Well done all involved ...looking forward to 25yrs

09.01.2022 Powertek Aus have recently completed some great projects locally and interstate. Working in conjunction with a local Consultant Engineering firm on a project in the greater Melbourne area, we successfully designed, manufactured and delivered the Motor Control Centre, associated PLC control, complete switch room and supply transformer 22kV/415V for a ship loader project.

06.01.2022 Always great to see a lot of boxes in frames in our business, it means that the mining industry is ticking over nicely. The lads smashed out a heap this week. We even let our guys in the Hobart factory loose on some of the 1000 volt gear. A new genre for those southern boys but they were up to the task, turning out some more Powertek quality. ..also snuck in a couple of 440V orange units bound for overseas (so keep calm Mine Sparkies, no heavy cables to run here ) .Well done team

03.01.2022 Today at Powertek Australia we celebrate our 20th year in business. We would like to thank all our customers, employees and suppliers that have supported us over the past 20 years, helping us grow and develop into a respected renowned company that delivers quality products, services, continues to support and contribute to our local Tasmanian economy.
