Discord: Discord is a chat app, similar to programs such as Skype or TeamSpeak, or professional communications platforms like Slack. It’s originally geared specifically toward video game players works really well for our ministry purposes, providing us with ways to find each other, coordinate, and connect. It supports video calls, voice chat, and text, allowing users to get in touch however they please. Why are... we using it: #1 It is the one of the most secure platforms we can use for our activities. #2 It allows us to have all of our online activities in one place combined with the ability to alternate between them with just one click. What are we using discord for?? Weekly Meeting Stream - We stream our Thursday night Power to Change weekly meeting so that anyone with our server link can tune in and be an active participant. Life Groups - we offer servers times and days to connect with people and study God’s word together Community Fun - we will periodically host game nights that you can hang with people and play games together all through this digital platform.
