19.01.2022 Christmas concert As of this afternoon, schools have permission to hold an end of year gathering. This year we will probably have an outdoor event (on the basketball court) that will be smaller than previous years. We are waiting on advice from Mr. Chambers on how he can arrange this event. The scheduled date is Wednesday the 16th of December. More details to come. Year 6 Graduation... At this stage this event can only be attended by grade 6 students and staff. The school has book the Old Dalyston Church for Monday the 14th of December. More details to come. Drinking fountains Drinking fountains and taps are opened for normal use.
19.01.2022 We spent the afternoon at the beach rock pooling and looking for dinosaur prints and bones. Well done to the juniors for representing our school so beautifully today and especially to our 3 new preps who fit in so easily with our grade. There will be some kids who crash early tonight we think
18.01.2022 Dear Grade 6 students and their Parents/Carers, It is with great disappointment that I have to inform you that due to COVID-19 restrictions, we will not be able to conduct ‘Orientation Day’ for 2020. Unfortunately due to our large Year 7 cohort for 2021 coming from many different schools, we are unable to adhere to COVID-19 safe procedures in conducting such an event at this time. In order to still give our new Year 7 students an opportunity to gently settle in to their life ...at Wonthaggi Secondary College, we are planning to have only the Year 7 students attend on the first day of classes in the 2021 school year. We will inform you of the details as we progress the planning of that day. We are still requiring parents/carers to fill out all of the necessary transition paperwork (handed to students at their Primary Schools recently) and return them to their Grade 6 teacher by Tuesday 8 December and I will travel around the Primary Schools to collect that information. We apologise for this disappointing news but, be assured that we are looking forward to connecting with you all at the beginning of 2021. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me at the Dudley Campus. Yours truly, Ross Bramley Ross Bramley | Dudley Campus Principal Wonthaggi Secondary College P: (03) 5672 0900 F: (03) 5672 4136 E: [email protected]
16.01.2022 This little beauty snuck past Mrs McBride yesterday and was discovered by our cleaners last night. Never a dull moment at PRPS.
13.01.2022 Hi everyone, I hope you are all enjoying a well deserved holiday. Just a reminder that all students return to school next Tuesday (6th Oct.) at 9.00 am. Monday is a student free day. Please note the following; ... as per the government advice below adults are not permitted in the school building at any stage until further notice and unless permission has been sought. We are desperate to have our students attend on-site (not remote) and we do not want to have to close because of carelessness. School arrival and departure: As the main risk of introducing COVID-19 to the school environment is from adults, close proximity between adult members of the school community should be avoided, particularly during school drop-off and pick-up. PLEASE STAY IN YOUR CARS IF POSSIBLE. Attendance on-site: The most important action school communities can take to reduce the risk of transmission of COVID-19, is to ensure that any unwell staff, children and young people remain at home. While the risk of transmission of the virus in schools is low, staff or students most at risk of severe illness should continue to individually assess appropriateness for on-site attendance with support from their medical practitioner.
11.01.2022 This morning we finished this roller coaster of a term with a whole school Zoom assembly. So good to see these smiling, resilient students. Stay safe and see you all next term.
