22.01.2022 Dear Customer I have some exciting news. (Read to the end for a $20 alterations voucher)... From December 1st, PQ Fine Alterations will take the next step in our growth and combine our alterations service with our sister business, The Fitting Room on Edward We are uniting these alterations studios for two reasons: to offer better service and keep our family businesses together. With our combined team of 12 tailors, it means there’s always a tailor on hand to help you, no matter what style issue you are facing. PQ and The Fitting Room were both founded by my aunt (Ping) in 1999. My cousin Clare has managed both PQ and The Fitting Room on Edward, and together, we are the largest alterations service in Queensland. This year marked a slow down in fashion consumption. Yet both The Fitting Room on Edward and PQ Fine Alterations have continued to welcome new clients investing in pieces that will outlive seasonal trends. It felt like the right time to reimagine how we do things. This union means we can continue to improve our service, while adding new skills to our teams that were not possible while running the studios individually. Sheena and all the tailors from PQ Fine Alterations will migrate to our Edward Street location and still service our clients at The Fitting Room on Edward. There is only one notable exception: I will be taking this opportunity to take a break from alterations, and pursue my dream of being a couture dressmaker and spend more time with my young family. I would like to thank all of your for your long term support at PQ Fashions/PQ Fine Alterations, it has been an incredible journey to help all you all look good and feel confident in your beautiful clothing.
