17.01.2022 New week, new challenge! Top of the table Old Camberwell pack their clash strip and visit Toorak Park tomorrow. With 19 degrees and sunny weather predicted, it will undoubtedly be a wonderful day and we hope to see a lot of our Two Blues faithful in attendance. #twoblues2021

09.01.2022 A tough day at the office for our boys on Saturday going down in both the reserves and seniors to Therry by narrow margins. The feeling in the group was one of disappointment not so much with the result but that we didn’t play to our best. Alas the beauty of the football season is that we get the opportunity to respond this week both on the track and then next Saturday in what will be an exciting challenge against ladder leaders Old Camberwell. Our day was best summed up by ...the wounded, albeit smiling, face of Liam Hunt, aka Chisel, a champion full back from 2012-2017 at our club, who was called in at the last minute to fill in for our reserves by former teammate and good friend Jack Matherson. Chiz was on the end of a stray boot to the face and came away with a sore nose but still an ability to grin, epitomising our collective afternoon wounded but smiling, ready to embrace the next test. #twoblues2021

03.01.2022 Breast Cancer Network Australia (BCNA) Fundraiser update From Vice President Paul Squizzy Taylor: A big thank you for the great support last weekend in helping our Club raise $781 for BCNA, resulting in us being one of the leading fundraisers in the VAFA. Confirmation of the importance & value of our efforts to support BCNA has been provided by Vicki Mills (mother to our former coach & life member, Ash Mills), in her message to current player, Beau Adams, asking that we ...share the following with everyone at PAFC: Hi Beau, I wanted to say something to all at the Club tomorrow about the importance of support from those around you when you’re diagnosed with the horrible beast known as breast cancer. From the moment of my diagnosis in April 2019 support came from this very special place known as Prahran Assumption FC. Support for Ash who was coaching at the time; his world was equally as rocked as mine. And Support for me. Generous & genuine care from guys who hardly knew me, messages from those who did. Practical care like handmade support cushions & grocery vouchers. Words of encouragement and hope. Beautiful flowers to put some scented beauty into my world when I most needed it. I will never forget the way the people at Prahran Assumption wrapped their arms around me and around Ash at our most vulnerable time. Thank you PA for being the special place you are. If you can donate something to BCNA it will be $$ well spent. The more research = the more survivors. Best regards Vicki Mills #twoblues2021

01.01.2022 Welcome to Way back Wednesday for this week and we thought it would be an opportunity to revisit the story of the 2011 Grand Final, the cherry on top of a very nice cake, ending with the hard working and knowledgable Leigh Stafford, a former player and coach who brought professionalism and focus to our group, and Captain, 2011 join best and fairest, and champion forward/ruck Adam Slip Sleight both men later awarded life memberships to the club for their remarkable servi...ce holding the premiership cup aloft. In our picture for this week you’ll see Staf, current reserves coach and senior player, then full back Jack Matherson, Slip and forward sensation and great man Pete Cristoforo who kicked over 70 goals for the season, all 4 significant contributors to the win. Final scores PAFC 25.9. 159 to Monash Gryphone 12.14. 86 PAFC Goals: Ash Parsons 6, Tim Maya 3, Isaac Edmunds 3, Josh Chapman 3, Adam Sleight 2, James Musster 2, Dan James 2, Leigh Northway 1, Josh Ancrum 1, Matt Pell 1, Ben Furness 1 PAFC Best: Ash Parsons, Josh Chapman, Dan James, Adam Sleight, Matt Pell, James Musster
