20.01.2022 Happy Vet Nurse Day 2020 Our talented nurses and support staff truly are the heart of our practice and their amazing work is so often under recognized. You can be sure that for every vet you see, there’s at least 2 or 3 more of our nurses and support staff running the show and caring for your pets Thank you for all that you do for our patients and for us- we would be lost without you #vetnurseday #andsupportstafftoo!

19.01.2022 It’s back to masks in the clinic again folks! Here we have a delightful patient of ours modelling hers for us- she hasn’t quite nailed the brief so please remember to wear yours correctly inside the clinic at all times We’re able to have one client per pet inside our consult rooms in line with social distancing guidelines. Stay safe and hopefully we can all avoid another lockdown together

19.01.2022 When the good drugs hit Beautiful baby Chow King in for surgery last week- who doesn’t love a good snooze on a rainy morning

17.01.2022 Dogtor Pearl will see you now Our newest staff member is in hot demand- we’re unsure about her qualifications but can confirm she is a 15/10 good girl #dogtor #bosslady

13.01.2022 Double trouble Siblings Gigi and Ralph stayed with us yesterday for their dental cleans- both leaving with beautiful pearly whites AND patient(s) of the day awards These two were so happy and wagging we could barely get a photo of them together #petdentistry #cavoodlesofinstagram

12.01.2022 The guilt-free face of someone who has snuck into mum’s underwear drawer for an after dinner snack Sadly for little Finley he wasn’t feeling quite as pleased with himself after we made him vomit a few pairs of undies back up. A trip to bonds for some fresh ones may be in order #labradorappetite

12.01.2022 Our vet is #stayingsafe tonight. Nurse Amanda will be taking your calls from 8-11pm tonight on 95101335 but we won’t be able to see your pet. For all emergencies - please call CARE on 94176417

11.01.2022 Oh hello there Miss lovely to meet you but sorry we don’t treat seals here?? May we recommend Melbourne Aquarium next time for all your sealy needs.

10.01.2022 Goooood morning lovely clients! We apologize if you are trying to get through to our Prahran hospital this morning- we’ve had some tech issues with our phone system with clients reporting they have been unable to get through to us. We’ve had our phone company working on this since last night and things will hopefully be rectified as soon as possible For now, we have our main number diverting calls to our clinic mobile- 0448 013 204. Try calling this number if you can’t reach us but please be patient if the wait is a little longer than usual as this is one line replacing our normal 6! You can also email us at [email protected] with any urgent enquiries. Hopefully we will be back up and running by the time we open at 9am Have a wonderful day

09.01.2022 Mac the Very Well Mannered golden girl being ever so beautifully behaved for her final puppy vaccination. We don’t think she realises people pay hundreds of dollars for those golden highlights #goldenretriever

08.01.2022 Really rough day at the office yesterday- imagine having to put up with faces like this all day @shelby.the.fluffy.corgi already breaking hearts

08.01.2022 Hello sir, would you like a snag to go with your rolls? #rollsonrolls #frenchmastiff

07.01.2022 Puppies galore!! We are seeing more pups at the moment than ever before (no complaints from us- thanks Covid ) so we’ve put together a list of the most important things to remember whether you’ve just got, or are about to get, a new addition to the family: If you’re going down the route of obtaining your pup from a breeder- be selective about who you choose. There’s still puppy farms around in Victoria- if possible ask to see the parents and environment via video call if ...you can’t go in person. Remember 8 weeks is the earliest age pups should be coming home with you- before this is too soon to leave mum and littermates! Don’t feed your pup raw mince- cooking (human grade) meat to a safe temperature will kill off harmful bacteria. Meat by itself, or adult commercial diets, are also not complete or balanced for growing babies- please chat to us if you’d like some help with appropriate diets! Make sure you take your new fur child to puppy school- even if you’re not new to dog ownership and are across your home training, these classes are so critical for important socialization skills that need to be developed at a young age. We’re currently running our ‘parent-free’ pup school at our @southyarravet location which owners can watch live via zoom. We promise it pays off! Get insurance! We can’t stress this one enough. You’ll thank us for it when you’re not out of pocket later Find and visit a vet early on with your new baby- we hope we’ll be seeing you for many years to come! The above list is by no means exhaustive, so bring us any and all questions you have See more

05.01.2022 Before and after > Beautiful Peggy the Irish Wolfhound first came in to see us at 6 weeks of age last year with a fractured leg- now at a lithe 58kg she’s fully grown and as divine as ever Sadly she doesn’t quite fit in our arms for cuddles anymore

04.01.2022 Our Hospital will be undergoing exciting renovations to consulting and reception areas from May 10. Rest assured we’ll be delivering the same great care as usual but we do anticipate some temporary space restrictions. @southyarravet will be extending hours and availability to ensure all Evervet families can access us seven days a week as normal. Thank you for your patience and cooperation as we work to make your Evervet experience ever-better!

02.01.2022 3 old men walked into a bar... Wally, Kasper and Ralph the elderly gentlemen all came in for their seniors checks with us this week- being labs (Wally and Ralph) and a GSP (Kasper) they were all more than happy to pose for a photo if it was followed by a treat or 7- no owner, no problem for these lads #seniordogsofinstagram
