24.01.2022 LAST CHANCE TO VOTE! Postal voting closes 6pm tomorrow, but note postal services collect mail before then, so do it earlier. Or even better, do it today! Don't risk a fine - get your vote counted. Believe it or not, every single vote counts this election. Your vote could be the decider on what the next 4 years look like for the North West.... #MorelandCouncil #MorelandCityCouncil #MorelandVotes #MorelandCouncilElections

24.01.2022 Wishing everyone a Happy Diwali

23.01.2022 Did you know if it was possible to tunnel all the way through the centre of the earth from Glenroy, we’d end up a few hundred kilometres off the coast of P...ico Island, Portugal. Our bright (and definitely not boring) tunnel boring machine has now arrived on site in Glenroy and is ready to get digging. The tunnel boring machine will dig a 370 metre long tunnel that will house drainage services for the new Glenroy Station, which we're building as part of our works to remove the Glenroy Road level crossing.

18.01.2022 We need to bring back manufacturing to our shores. Its well demonstrated during the Covid pandemic that we just can't rely on others to manufacture things for us. Manufacturing will also create tens of thousands of jobs but the Federal and State Governments should make this a focal point of the post covid economic recovery

10.01.2022 Firstly I would like to congratulate the re-election of our Labor Councillors and friends Lambros Tapinos, Annalivia Carli Hannan, Sarah Carter Joseph Haweil a...nd Tim Singh Laurence. Also its great to see the election of Sahana Ramesh to Wyndham Council as the first female Councillor of Indian origin ( happy to be corrected) in Victoria. Going back a few weeks I thought, today will be a day of celebration regardless of the results after all , the campaign was long , hard and quite unique given the circumstances in which the elections were conducted, but this election is far from over Though the results have been declared ( where I missed out by a minor margin and preferences not going our way) but they are tainted by rigged/tampered votes ( in North West ward) which is subject to a criminal investigation. So all the hard work put in by (almost) all the candidates is undermined and some of the well deserved winners in this election may have to recontest the election again, which would be really disappointing. I would like to take this opportunity to thank our Federal Member Peter Khalil, the Moreland Labor team along with all the family, friends and Volunteers who have provided unconditional support during the campaign, but let me tell you that this isn't over yet, as we are expecting a re-election soon in the North West ward. So be prepared ...

07.01.2022 Congratulations to Cr Annalivia Carli Hannan elected as the Mayor of Moreland. It would be great to see her work with the fellow councillors to implement the policy platform laid out by Moreland Labor.

03.01.2022 I have always believed that the Wheatsheaf Road precinct has never realised its true potential. Share your ideas and have your say about what improvements you would like to see at the Wheatsheaf Rd precinct

03.01.2022 Our economic recovery must create local jobs. Federal Labor has a plan for good, secure jobs and a future made in Australia. Sign the petition to bring manufacturing jobs back home: peterkhalil.com.au/morejobs... - Peter Khalil MP, Federal Labor Member for Wills
