07.01.2022 This post is for educational purposes only. It is a public post available for sharing. Whilst condolences are appreciated please refrain from making emotive co...mments, however any scientific or similar case experience would be appreciated and welcomed. New born ‘Tess’ case study. Huge filly incorrectly presented with both front legs back at foaling. Intervention was required by vet for successful birth. At birth she was a very large correct filly with her off side eye smaller and near side eye normal size, a blue tinge noted to near side eyeball. Within a half an hour the near side eye had enlarged as per photo. Once up and drinking was attempted the foal appeared to be totally Blind. Vet noted offside eye not developed correctly with red hue. These pics are from early this morning whilst waiting on Ophthalmologist consult and diagnosis. (See pic) Foal humanely euthanised this morning shortly after specialist response. RIP baby Tess our thoughts are with all connections.
