18.01.2022 Enhanced Security Measures for Electronic Devices at Certain Airports Overseas New aviation security measures have been announced this month, July 2014, regarding travelling with devices like mobile phones, tablets, laptops, digital cameras and portable music players in your carry on baggage. You could be asked to turn on any eletronic devices the next time that you pass through airport security to prove that they function. If the device doesn't turn on then it could be con...fiscated or you may not be allowed to board your flight. Pleasse make sure that all electronic devices are fully charged before you leave home, and carry a charger with you so that you are able to charge the device should the battery run flat during your journey. At this stage only flights to the USA and UK are likely to be affected, but it is important to be aware of these new rules regardless of your destination. Please ensure that all electronic devices are kept in your hand luggage and not packed into your checked luggage as you may be called to remove the items once they reach the screening check.
