21.01.2022 I finally got to button up a couple of nice Holden V8s this week, one being out of a beauty of an original VP GTS with factory four bolt mains, factory issued roller rockers and group A heads, and the other a solid roller 355 now capable of a few more revs than previous. 20.01.2022 Its been a while since I've posted sorry guys, I always forget to take pics (face palm) so here's a pic of a lil 308 I machined and set up for 100 percent street use, utilising a conservative hydraulic flat tappet camshaft, basic early heads, dual plane and small carb upgrade which has since produced 225rwhp and turns the tyres off into top gear (private roads of course) in a sweet VK Calais. Oil pressure cranked up and ready to go

20.01.2022 G'day everyone, just realised we haven't posted anything since Christmas.....there's been a bunch going on here since moving into the new and improved workshop.....bad ass Holden V8s and clevos mainly, but also some everyday stuff. Once again, we are so absolutely overwhelmed by the support for our little family business, with motors coming from near and far for some love and re-repairs . So thankyou to all the ppl who have supported us even through the difficult times, yo...u know who you are . Here's a few pics of a few we remembered to take, a nice warm little 253 from Longreach destined for a HQ can, hottie 308 that we managed to strip, freshen and hot up this week (both finished in debeer 2pac Carnation red) and a couple of randoms....anyways, there will be more when we find the right employee to help out around here . Thanks so much everybody for your continued support, we never expected so much support for our little family business, feeling blessed by it all, and don't forget guys....we're closing down the current shop and moving to our bigger and better premises as of the 1st of February 2020.... exciting times ahead, see yous all on the 6th of January!

14.01.2022 This is the before and after of an old 4.2L Jaguar block I've just ressurected. From factory they suffer from severe cylinder distortion around the flame due to the nasty coolant slots in between the cylinders. My customer supplied me with a set of flanged cylinder liners, which I fitted by way of interlock greatly reducing said distortion. I also fully reconditioned the Conrods with a big end resize/gudgeon bush swap and size, crankshaft micro-polish, a whole heap of welding to the cylinder head as well as a valve grind and resurface. #preciseengines #jag #notjust308s

14.01.2022 It will be a month of HP here at Precise with a bunch of holdens going together. We've got a solid roller 355, hydro roller 327 Holden (shop car), a hydro flat tappet 355 for warm street use, a solid roller 383ci SBC, and also a Hottie hydro roller 351 Clevo on its way together. 06.01.2022 I got to rebuild this little Gem of a 186 this week, with an unleaded conversion, some guide work, fresh rings and bearings, new camshaft and all valve train components. Nearly ready to fire her first shot back in her humble HR Holden engine bay. #preciseengines #igotthemotormagic

05.01.2022 Exciting news, we can now dynamically balance your motors in-house with the new balancing machine, another part of the job that I now have complete control over without having to assume and or trust the job was done correctly when outsourced. (Independent Motorcycle Wreckers old shed), just down the road from MW USA imports and the Bernoth Centre. We will still be offering the same old school knowledge, service and advice stemming from my years of experience in the oldest most established engine reconditioni...ng workshops on the Darling Downs including Dorrs Engineering, Express Engine Reconditioners and also Hurst and Brunner Engineering.
