20.02.2022 100 Chin-ups. Its always amazing how rapidly the projects take their final transformation. Jon & Jen chose a beautiful white gold pebble that creates a contrast with the iron bark garden beds & enhance the natural timber colours of the Spotted Gum corner seat & BBQ bench. Jon's final request was for his own chin - up bar. Both he & Jen love their fitness training. Jon assured me that he would crack 100 by Chrissy. Not sure if he meant in total or in one hit (ha ha).... It's been a pleasure for Precise Building to work Jon & Jen & we wish them every happiness with their new entertainment area. 10.02.2022 Sexy SG. Our clients took a look at a screen that Precise had just completed & fell in love with the natural look of Spotted Gum. I have worked with Grant at Marshall Timber Traders for years. Grant has a vast knowledge of hardwood timbers & supplies only the finest quality. The timber seen here is sourced from a renewable forestry. SG is fantastic in that there are so many variances from blonde, to grey, to plum reds. The trick is not to place consecutive boards of the same ...colour. The project has now begun to take form & our clients are now really exited. This project is located at the very rear of the property.To save costs in materials handling we had all the materials including 10mm gravel, coarse river sand & organic soil delivered in cubic meter bags & craned closer to the work site. With the job of filling the planters & the pebble finish almost ready, we install conduits that will allow for the planters to be interconnected with power for lighting as well as water for irrigation. Hope everyone has had a nice week; our next share to see the final transformation should be real soon.

22.01.2022 Let the Games Begin. Flynn & myself get off to a good start. We begin with 'Planter 1' that will ultimately provide a division from the laundry area & the main entertainment area. 'Planter 2' is also installed. We make sure that the base of the sleeper is not in direct contact with the ground. This will prolong the life of the sleepers by many years. As we continue to construct planters 3 & 4, the next phase will see the framework for the BBQ as well as the feature corner sea...t come to life. Our suppliers will soon shutdown for the Chrissy break. If you have any projects that you may like to start in the immediate future we can pre-order now. Hope everyone had a happy hump day.

21.01.2022 The stars arrive! At our initial consultation & design meeting my clients brief was "rustic" when describing their feel for the garden planters. My search for a suitable product took me down to Tyagarah to select a sample for approval. @mullumtimbers is a relatively new entity operated by Steve. Mullum timbers procure & supply Australian recycled hardwood including these iron bark sleepers. Each one is unique & we wanted to preserve their character to keep the charm of their ...previous life beneath the steel of the outback rail. Now on site & with the initial retainer wall phase complete we grade each sleeper for thickness & height. Precise Building love working with recycled timber & look forward to getting to work with these 30 beauties. If you would like to go on a similar journey lets talk so we can kick it off in the new year.
