19.01.2022 Had a client bring her laptop to us today - Not loading into the OS. She had informed us that she had one of those "GEEKY" franchise ppl over to her house to do an onsite. 4.5 hrs...new SSD drive....and $800.00 later - Still a non working laptop. I noticed on inspection, that most of the screws were missing from the rear clamshell. Upon opening I saw a screw that had been left inside rattling around over the electronics. I also noticed the new SS Drive has been fitted minus the mounting bracket ans was just sitting there loose. Nice of the tech to use some insulation tape to hold it in I suppose ;) - Mainboard now shorted, and laptop is TOAST! - Choose your repairer carefully everyone..
