24.01.2022 Just a quick post to let you know we are closing for the long weekend. This Saturday we will close (and the Monday) however, the emergency service will still be running as per usual. Have a great weekend all!

23.01.2022 Wow - I didn’t know this!

22.01.2022 Hi All, Just a quick note on our Christmas opening times. This year we will try something a little different. We are closed until the 6th where we will be doin...g 1/2 days between 6-9th January. I will have a small crew on starting from the 11th with 8:30-5pm trading until the 18th where we will be back with our standard weekday trading. We will resume Saturday trading in February. Emergency onsite service is still running as per normal. Hope you have all had a safe and merry Christmas - 2020 is nearly over so we can all look forward to 2021!

22.01.2022 The end of another Tuesday......

19.01.2022 This is a reason why you MUST keep a spare key for your car. When you do get keys cut, make sure they come from a reputable source - cheap keys can have transponder chips that fail leaving you in a situation where nothing works - which can be just as good as no keys. This job resulted in complete dash removal to replace a tiny little immobiliser box and recode the car. Customer obtained a price from a dealer (Not local) that was over $3k.

18.01.2022 Happy Birthday To Us! Today marks our 18th year trading - can't believe the journey so far. This year has been the toughest yet, but we are one of the fortunate ones that have been able to sustainably trade throughout this pandemic. It is now more important than ever to support your local business' as we all begin the recovery process rebuilding what once was.... We are looking for obscure sporting clubs that are struggling for support and looking for a hand; particularly clubs that have a strong junior base and don't receive support from council/government and specifically, do self organised fund raising to remain viable and sustainable. So far we have sponsored: Glenmaggie & District Boat Club Latrobe Valley Scuba Club Ideally, we would like to back a club in each of our main supporting communities. This means we have Traralgon, Moe and San Remo as regions that we would like to invest in. If any of you guys know of a club that fits the above description, please put it in the comments!

18.01.2022 Opened this little box today - just in time for the long weekend! Surprisingly heavy for its size..... New keys made with a quick service and another happy customer.

16.01.2022 Merry Christmas to all of our members/supporters! This year we are going to try something a little different and set up a mobile base in San Remo with the view... of covering the Island and surrounds. This is due to the overwhelming demand we seem to get over the holiday period which seems to make me travel down there in some cases 2 or 3 times A DAY! Our Latrobe Valley customers will not be forgotten with Luke Laybourne running our emergency service over the 4 weeks. Please share this post to spread the word! Thanks again for your support this year - we really appreciate it!

16.01.2022 Hi All, In response to COVID19 we have decided to suspend Saturday trade for the foreseeable future. Currently we are still running our standard week including extended Friday hours for those of you that need supplies for weekend projects. Our road service will still be running as per normal weekend emergency service.... We have also opted to run a roster system for our onsite technicians (14 days on 14 days off). This is likely to create a delay in our ability to respond to weekday works; if there are extended delays in completing/attending your jobs we sincerely apologise for this temporary setback. Stay safe out there!

14.01.2022 This is also happening in Melbourne - we have heard of a case in Warragul as well - PLEASE check your locksmith before engaging in works...

14.01.2022 Merry Christmas and a happy new year! We are on a short break resuming early next year with limited hours - our emergency onsite service will be running throughout the holiday period if you are stuck and need our help. Thank you all for your support this year!

13.01.2022 Hi Everyone, Sorry for the late notice but I am still a little confused to what I can and can't do.... At this stage I will not be opening the store for Saturday trading this week - I think that our retail arm is deemed as "Non-essential Retail" so it may breach the new lockdown rules that come into effect tonight.... I will make an assessment over the weekend if I can shop trade Monday-Wednesday. I have a suspicion that I will have to use a locked door approach (this is not a pun but a cruel joke) which effectively makes it sales by appointment but only if it is of urgent nature. Our onsite service will still function for emergency work only at this stage. On a positive note, it would seem as though it is ok to go to the tennis..... I am really concerned and sympathise for the small business florists and restaurants that have just ordered a pile of stock for one of the biggest weekends (Valentines Day) they have with a chance to salvage something of a very tough year; all to be scraped at the 11th hour. Thanks for your understanding and once this is all over please support the local business community! I just hope all those that are responsible for this have a great "Lockdown weekend".

12.01.2022 Well Christmas is almost upon us. This year the silly season has hit a little early and with a vengeance; pretty much sums up the year in general! Over the last few months we have had some very interesting milestones and events which continually reminds me of where we have come from and the support that the local community has provided our little lock shop with. For this I am eternally grateful and look forward to continuing our service partnership with our past, present an...d future supporters. Some of the events are milestones in no particular order are: -Arrival of our newest apprentice Darcy; probably have to wait a few years for this one to work out! -Precision Lock & Key had it’s 17th Birthday -Personal milestone of working in the industry for 26 years -Nomination for Krystal in the ‘Ladies Who Locksmith’ award -Participation in the internship program -Hosting of the ‘National Locksmiths Day’ BBQ -And the addition of yet another service vehicle to our fleet We also have an exciting announcement that we are bursting to share with you; final details are being ironed out so stay tuned..

11.01.2022 Hi All Just a quick post to tell you we will be closed for stocktake on Saturday. We will still be open until 6:30pm Friday for anyone doing a weekend project requiring locks.

10.01.2022 This classic came in this week with an ignition jammed - had a very interesting immobiliser system. Tough job, but all sorted now!

09.01.2022 Well after a challenging week we are back in full trade, until next time....hopefully never! On a brighter note, this week marked a major milestone for our business. Our longest serving staff member has officially reached 10 years of service. This is a great honour as an employer to be able to retain someone for this amount of time - and a credit to Krystal for putting up with us!... Krystal started with us with no previous experience and has completed her CertIII in retail along with her full trade Locksmith qualification. She is currently studying for her CertIV in Retail Management. She is one of the very few females in our industry and certainly one of the longer serving members of our trade. Not bad for someone under 30..... So thank you Krystal - this one is for you!

06.01.2022 Happy new year to all! I hope you are all returning to some sense of normality - we are now in full swing with a new CSO (customer service officer) - her name is Jess. You will be dealing with her on the phone more often than not so please introduce yourself when you talk to her! As of this weekend, we are also seeing the return of Saturday trading - I can’t believe it has almost been a year!... We have also opened 2 more positions for trainees - if you know any hard workers that are deserved of a great career, please get them to make contact with us.

03.01.2022 Ok so we have just been informed that we can't trade from our shop until the restrictions ease. It would seems as though the click and collect business' and contactless are ok - pretty hard for us to do that so we are closing the stores - hopefully resuming Thursday. WE WILL be operating as a locked door retail with sales by appointment only. I expect with the non-essential travel restrictions that this will be very minimal.... Our on site service will be running for existing bookings and new emergency jobs only as per the guidelines. Hopefully this will be over soon and we can re-start the rebuilding process again. Sorry for the inconvenience!

03.01.2022 To all the Mum’s out there:
