20.01.2022 Pre-Delivery system Configuration & Calibration We recently configured another fixed gas detection system prior to sending the equipment to the client site. This minimises on-site setup and configuration time, as the detectors and controllers were configured and set-up in the workshop. All detectors were calibrated, and tested, as well as alarm levels set according to site requirements.

20.01.2022 We conduct Quarterly, 6 monthly and yearly On-Site calibration of portable as well as Fixed Gas Detectors. We service and calibrate most brands of detectors, and quite often find them in quite bad condition due to the harsh environments they are found in. We offer friendly, quick turnaround at affordable prices.

17.01.2022 We recently completed another pre delivery setup and calibration of a Honeywell Fixed Gas Detection System consisting of a TouchPoint Plus Controller and several SensePoint XRL Detectors for a client. We configured the controller according to the clients requirements and tested the system prior to shipment to site. Once installed we performed the on-site commissioning of the system and validated the configuration and calibration on the clients PLC. The pre delivery check and configuration certainly made the commissioning quick and easy, as the configuration had already been completed in the workshop.

14.01.2022 Gas Detection Bump Test vs Calibration Bump (or Span) Check A bump check is a means of verifying calibration by exposing the instrument to a known concentration of test gas. The instrument reading is then compared to the actual quantity of gas present (as indicated on the cylinder). if the instruments response is within an acceptable range of the actual concentration, then its calibration is verified. When performing a bump test, the test gas concentration should be high eno...ugh to trigger the instrument alarm. if the bump test results are not within the acceptable range, then a full calibration must be performed. Instrument Calibration Whether an instrument warns and / or alarms at the proper time depends on its ability to translate the quantity of gas it detects into an accurate reading. calibration refers to an instruments measurement accuracy relative to a known concentration of gas. Gas detectors perform relative measurements: rather than independently assessing the quantity of gas present, they measure the concentration of the air sample and then compare it to the known concentration of the gas that the instrument is configured to sample. This known concentration serves as the instruments measurement scale, or reference point. Full Calibration A full calibration is the adjustment of the instruments reading to coincide with known concentrations (generally a certified standard) of zero and span gases, to compensate for calibration drift. In most cases, a full calibration is only necessary when an instrument does not pass the bump test (or after it has been serviced). Frequency of Calibration The frequency of calibration depends on the sensors operating time, conditions of use (including chemical exposure) and user experience with the instrument. New sensors should be calibrated more often until the calibration records prove sensor stability. The calibration frequency can then be reduced to the schedule set by the safety officer or plant manager.

11.01.2022 We recently conducted a Pre-Delivery Inspection/Configuration & Calibrations of some fixed gas detectors prior to delivery to the client. We don't charge any additional cost for this service, but it does ensure Fixed Gas Detectors are set-up ready for installation.

11.01.2022 Your most difficult toxic gas detection problems.... Solved Senscient Enhanced Laser Diode Spectroscopy (ELDS) product range builds upon the proven benefits of laser based gas sensing, taking this sensing principle to the next level. Patented technologies such as the Harmonic Fingerprint and SimuGas provide the highest levels of gas specificity, false alarm rejection and safety integrity in the most challenging operating conditions.... HARMONIC Fingerprint Only multiple harmonic detection reduces costly nuisance false alarms that plague other open path detectors. SIMUGAS Daily Self Testing The only open path detector that can check and record functional tests, automatically. LOCK Cell Real target gas sample ensures laser is locked on target wavelength. ZERO Maintenance Increased uptime availability and lower OPEX costs. Wider Coverage Area For TOXICS Improved leak detection coverage with less capital expense. Stay CONNECTED. Work SMARTER. Bluetooth wireless technology for faster commissioning and troubleshooting while keeping workers out of harms way.

06.01.2022 The Latest in Portable Multi-Gas Area Monitoring - Honeywell BW RigRat 4 Honeywell BW RigRat brings a new level of user-friendliness to transportable multi-gas area monitoring, so your people can work with confidence in hazardous areas. Simply place the monitor nearby, and it will alert workers to area gas threats so they can take action. The RigRat4 Transportable Area Monitor complements your personal gas detectors, protecting workers wherever theyre at risk. Unlike some tr...ansportable area monitors, the Honeywell BW RigRat is fully self-contained with no need to repurpose your personal gas detectors for an area monitoring application. Continue using your existing personal detectors to monitor workers breathing zone, while using the BW RigRat4 to monitor an area. Up to six gas sensors installed in a unit with the flexibility to switch them out as your needs change. Choose from more than 15 4R+ sensors for toxic gases, oxygen, and combustible gases at the lower explosive limit (LEL). A photoionization detector (PID) for volatile organic compounds and Infrared sensors for highly flammable gases. View page on our website https://www.precisionsafety.com.au/bw-rigrat-4
