02.01.2022 IMPORTANT MESSAGE FOR HAIRDRESSERS! Recently we found a customer was told by another hair scissor sharpener that their scissors would cost extra to sharpen because they had "cobalt in them". Folks this is a lie! Cobalt is used as a component in some scissors as in small amounts it improves the wear of your blades. By itself it is brittle and cracks. Good scissors with the right blend of cobalt in the steel will be long-wearing. It does not affect the sharpening process. Two things affect that: the quality of the scissor and the ability of the sharpener! Dont let anyone charge you more for sharpening your scissors due to a particular blend of steel! Have a great day!
