22.01.2022 Today the Reserve Bank of Australia reduced the Cash Rate by 0.25% to a new historic low 0.50%. CBA & Westpac have already announced they are passing on the full 0.25% to their home loan customers. Based on a $300K home loan this is approx. $41p.m. saving. Based on a $400K home loan this is approx. $55p.m. saving. Please remember lenders often do not lower your repayments so to actually make a lower repayment you may need to reduce your repayments via your online banking or ...contacting the lender. 10.01.2022 To our valued clients & other members of the community impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic I am posting information on financier support. There are a number of measures available to assist. This post is about home lending & what to do to get a repayment deferral from different financiers. Most financiers are offering a repayment deferral period of up to 6 months with some checking in at the 3 month point to see if an additional 3 months is required. Loan interest capitalises during the deferment period so it does ultimately come at an additional cost. Please refer to the comments for details on individual lenders & how to apply.
