15.01.2022 An update on resuming massage in metro Melbourne. We are hoping you and your families are well. We miss you all and are looking foward to getting back to massaging again soon. It's fantasic news that our Victorian numbers are coming down, a great effort on everyones part. With the easing of restrictions this week, it has prompted many of you lovely folk to call or email in hope of resuming your regular massage treatments. Unfortunatly though, we are not permitted to recomm...mence our massage service just yet. Massage and Myotherapy Australia has sent news that during a meeting this week, DHHS verbally confirmed that remedial massage will be allowed to reopen for one on one sessions, when metro Melbourne enters the Third Step of it's Road Map to Recovery. The Third Step will trigger as soon as Victoria manages to reach an average of five or fewer new cases per day and fewer than five cases with an unknown source over a span of 14 days. At this stage, the Government is estimating that will occur on or around the 19th of October 2020. We are definatly getting closer to reopening, and we will notify you by email when we are given the green light to recommence business. We are developing a Covidsafe plan and will share this with you along with any other changes we may be required to make to operate safely when we reopen. Stay safe lovelies See more

14.01.2022 Closing for Stage 4 Lockdown. Thank you for your understanding and patience whilst we waited for guidance from the Government and our Association on the working status of Massage Therapists during Stage 4 Lockdown. We have just received an update and clarification from our association. "Stage 4 restrictions are aligned to Victoria’s current State of Disaster and are understandably focused on saving and protecting the lives of all Victorian’s through restricting non-essential ...contact and movement across the state. Unless your client has a medically endorsed care plan, and if their presentation/condition is considered critical, i.e. to maintain functional independence and stay out of hospital, then you are not permitted to treat them face to face at this time." Myotherapy Massage Association, 6th Aug 2020. We have now decided that Qi Rhythm Massage Therapies will remain closed until the restrictions are eased to freely include remedial massage again. We will miss you all, and hope that you stay well and healthy during these uncertain times. 12.01.2022 Yet again, we find ourselves in stage 3 lockdown until 11:59 on Wednesday 19 August 2020. We have done this before and we can do it again, Let’s dig deep, stay connected and add kindness and compassion to each situation we find ourselves in. Like the last lockdown, these changes come as a shock to all of us. Over the last two days we have received many emails, calls and messages seeking clarification about upcoming appointments. We have now followed up all upcoming bookings a...nd hopefully this email helps to make clear our intentions for the next 6 weeks. We have made further adjustments to our business to protect ourselves, our clients and the broader community. Thankfully, Therapeutic and Remedial massage is classified as an essential health service and can remain open. However, the home visit aspect of our business poses additional risks, as practitioners we don’t have the same level of control over the safety of our work environment. Due to this we have made the following changes for the lockdown period, we hope you all understand. We are NOT taking any new clients, (this may also be reduced further depending on availability to only include clients with regular standing bookings). We will NOT be visiting anyone living in apartments or staying in hospitals or hotels. These buildings have a more complicated entry with added risk upon arrival and departure. (Lifts, lobbies, car parking etc) We will be reducing the number of clients per day, to give time to thoroughly clean and replace equipment. We ask that all clients have running water and soap available for us to wash our hands prior to and after their massage. We will also be carrying and using hand sanitiser. It’s VERY important that if you or anyone in your family are unwell, exposed to the virus, waiting on test results or displaying any symptoms of infection of any kind, you contact us immediately to cancel your appointments. 01.01.2022 Covid-19 Stage 4 update-closed until further notice. We hope you and your families are all managing well and staying healthy in these unusaul times. At present it is not known how Stage 4 will affect the working status of Massage Therapists. Massage Associations around the country are working together with the Government to clarify this as soon as possible. ... Given the nature of our specailised home visit service, it is unlikely that we will be able to remain open during Stage 4 restrictions. However; as soon as we are informed we will update you, for now though we are closed until further notice. If we are able to continue to practice there may be further adjustments to the way we conduct business.
