25.01.2022 For those in the Warrnambool Area, we have just found out there will be no Digital TV Reception from 9:30am - 3:30pm today as there is a planned outage so works can be carried out on the Tower. This is only affecting the Warrnambool City Tower located near Albert Park. If your Antenna is pointing towards Tower Hill, your TV Reception wont be affected. We are not sure if works will be carried out again tomorrow.

24.01.2022 Today August 26th, In the Warrnambool Area, Digital Retune Works are currently being undertaken at the Tower Hill TV Transmitter Site. SBS and WIN will change their RF frequencies today. All Viewers will now need to retune their digital TV, set-top box or digital TV recorder to find the SBS and WIN channels that have moved.... Outages for Works are from 9:00 - 3:30 today, so we recommend to try retuning after 3:30 today. We will post a confirmation of all services back transmitting once we test them ourselves.

22.01.2022 ALL DIGITAL TV STATIONS AND SOME RADIO WILL BE OFF AIR UNTIL POSSIBLY 3 PM DUE TO WORKS BEING DONE ON THE MT CLAY TRANSMITTER

22.01.2022 RE-STACK This is term given to the re-structure of the Digital TV Network that Australia wide is undergoing massive Channel Frequency changes. This is being done to enable the Telcos with their rolling out of the 4 G network to best have that working at its ultimate with out frequency interference from the broadcasting of the Digital TV Network which had been an issue in some areas across Australia. So what does this mean for you the Home TV Viewer? It means that when this h...as occurred in your area then a re-tune of your TV service will need to be done. It is hoped that a mention in your local media will provide the times that this will be occurring so you can best be advised and can carry out the necessary Re-tuning of your TV sets. Please note it is always best to do a manual and not an auto re-tune so only the channels coming from the TV Site your Antenna is pointed to is what you end up receiving. For channel Allocation Numbers you will need to access the ACMA web site for your area. See more

22.01.2022 My.Clay Victoria is currently undergoing a 4G upgrade for both TELSTRA and OPTUS Telcos. Should also see an improvement for 3G as well.

21.01.2022 Interferance. You may now be aware that the 4G mobile network is being installed around the country. If you live in the South West of Victoria, then most definitely. We have noticed in some areas such as Port Fairy, Koroit and the surrounds of Tower Hill as well Portland if you are near the Optus Tower especially that the 4G network can interfere with you receiving Digital TV signal or at least a couple of the DTV TV channels are difficult to watch at times. This type of in...terferance is known in the industry as LTE interference. To alleviate this problem you may have a special LTE Band Stop Filter installed. This stops the 4G mobile network from interfering with your TV signal as it Stops or blocks the channels that make up the 4G network usually from 60 to 65 and passes anthing below channel 51 and below which account for your DTV TV channels. Whats more if you have one of the older type Mast Head Amp boosters above near the antenna or located in the ceiling and it does not contain this LTE filtering then this in turn will amplify the 4G signal even more and make matters worse for you and your TV. One well known company recently made a broad statement that if your antenna system does not have a booster and its only made up with Antenna, Coax and possibly a splitter then you wont have any problems. This couldnt be further from the truth. We have seen first hand that just the opposite can and does occurr. If you are experiencing interference and your not sure of the source of this interferance then contact us at Portland or Warrnambool and we can with our Digital measuring equipment find the source of this problem and remedy the situation for you. 19.01.2022 NBN Works in Progress at MT.CLAY this week. Reduction in power to all FM Radio Services to allow Contractors to safely Climb the Broadcast Australia Tower. 18.01.2022 Attended customers residence last week due to reception problems, once there found this on a mast. Not going to get much reception with 1/4 of an antenna the rest must have snapped off when a bird sat on it, found the rest in the gutter.

18.01.2022 We all know what TV coaxial cable looks like. But here is another coax cable you might not be familiar with. Its the type used as a feeder from TV Digital Transmitter to the Antenna Array located at the top of the Mt.Clay Tower and many other sites around Australia. Spare a thought for our Riggers who climb the the many towers throughout Australia and handle this heavy cable and put the fittings on the ends.

17.01.2022 Sat 18th JAN. Got call from the transport company transporting this 28 ton blade up to a new wind farm under construction near Stawell. They had no comms to control the slew of the back of the lenghty trailers that they Cart these long blades on so they can get around intersections and tight corners. Again we were able to assist in getting that working.

03.01.2022 Many WARRNAMBOOL DTV viewers were having trouble with WIN TV if there Antenna was pointing towards the WARRNAMBOOL City Black Spot Transmitter. Address Location is also known as Albert Park or Greive Street Transmitter Site. Unfortunately I received no Call Outs over this Fault so was not asked to Attend. However it came to my notice after a viewer mentioned the difficulties with this service over the last 48 hrs. I raised the Alarm with Sydney and attended the site this afternoon 4th of Jan. I found the Transmitter Off. I managed to get the service back to Air and by 6.00 pm you would have seen the service return on your TV Sets. If you are still having difficulty just manually retune channel 31 in your sets. All the best for 2015
