17.01.2022 South West Conveyancing 49th Grand Annual Sprintcar Classic Dates Set The Premier Speedway Club Warrnambool intends to conduct the 49th running of the South West Conveyancing in January 2022, after having been forced to postpone the event due to the impact of COVID-19 in 2021. The Club’s Board and Management will continue to monitor the COVID situation throughout the remainder of the Premier Speedway Club’s current season and into the off-season as a general loosening of res...trictions with regards to crowd numbers and travel will play a key part in the viability of holding an event of the Classic’s size and magnitude. Premier Speedway remains hopeful that all facets of the Classic will be able to return in January 2022 with key elements of the weekend including the Classic Breakfast and the Fan Appreciation Day earmarked for return. In fairness to our visiting race teams and the fans that converge on Premier Speedway each-and-every year for the Classic festivities, we would like to announce our dates so that those wishing to attend can make provision for accommodation bookings and the like well ahead of time. Please be mindful that we do need to remain diligent in staying safe and adhering to the guidelines we have in place, so please check that your accommodation providers have a cancellation policy should further outbreaks, or a reluctance from the Government to ease restrictions have an impact on the staging of the South West Conveyancing 49th Grand Annual Sprintcar Classic. The Dates for the event are: Friday January 21, 2022 South West Conveyancing Grand Annual Sprintcar Classic Night One. Saturday February 27, 2021 - Sprintcar Showdown, The Super Rod Cup, Late Models and V8 Dirt Modifieds. Saturday March 13, 2021 Sprintcar Victorian Title and Street Stocks. The COVID-19 Event Management Framework again stipulates that we operate with a capacity of 3,000 patrons. For those wishing to purchase a Concession Ticket, please be aware that when presenting your ticket at the gate for scanning, that you will also need to produce your current aged, disability or veterans’ affairs card for verification and to gain access. At this time, General Admission tickets will allow for seating locations on the grassed spectator viewing areas, while the Grandstand and Terrace areas are permanent fixed seating. 09.01.2022 The Sprintcar Super Series will head to Whyalla Speedway in South Australia for the Final Round of the $10,000 to Win Series which also double as the South Australian 410 Sprintcar Championship this Saturday night. Monte Motorsport's James McFadden has been a dominant force over the past two rounds having scored feature race wins at Sungold Stadium, Premier Speedway, Warrnambool on Saturday and also at Murray Machining and Sheds Murray bridge Speedway on Australia Day. McFadd...en now holds a 62 point lead over Daniel Pestka (684 points), with Marcus Dumesny (666) a further 18 points back in third place. With the Series carrying $10,000 to the winner, $5000 for second, $2500 for third, $1500 for fourth and $1000 for fifth, the likes of Jock Goodyer (662), Matt Egel (656) and Brad Keller (630) will all be keen to add to their winning this weekend. The Sprintcar Super Series is presented with the support of Speedway Australia.

08.01.2022 McFadden Dominates Sprintcar Super Series They say the cream rises to the top and James McFadden again proved to be the man to beat at Whyalla in South Australia on Saturday night as the curtain came down on the 2021 Speedway Australia Super Series. The Whyalla round also doubled as the South Australian Sprintcar Title with McFadden adding that crown to his long list of achievements after he led home Matt Egel and Daniel Pestka who also enjoyed a strong showing throughout the... Super Series. For multi-time World Series Sprintcars Champion McFadden, the South Australia and Victorian Super Series proved fruitful, with the six completed rounds garnishing the Monte Motorsports Team four feature race wins at four different venues. Avalon Raceway in Round 1 set the scene for McFadden as he claimed the President’s Cup before he had to settle for a 12th place run in Borderline Speedway’s King Challenge which was eventually taken out in fine style by Lachie McHugh. The opening night of Premier Speedway’s Fifty for 50 Weekend saw McFadden bank another bounty of series points with his fourth place run as McHugh made it back-to-back visits to Victory Lane. Night two and with $15,000.00 on the line, there was to be no stopping McFadden as he returned to Sungold Stadium’s Victory Lane one year after claiming his most recent Grand Annual Sprintcar Classic win. Unfortunately for the hard-working team at Tolmer Speedway in Bordertown, Mother Nature didn’t want to play on Monday January 25th, forcing round five of the series to be cancelled. With two rounds to run, it was McFadden leading the points battle, while Daniel Pestka, Matt Egel, Marcus Dumesny and Jessie Attard all remained in the chase for Super Series honors. At Murray Bridge, McFadden just did enough to again bank the points from an A-Main win, with Pestka in second and Egel third, making sure that the 2019 Knoxville 360 Nationals Champion didn’t get it all his own way! The final points standings for the series were as follows: 1st: W17 James McFadden 900 points ($10,000). 2nd: S27 Daniel Pestka 828 points ($5,000). 3rd: N47 Marcus Dumesny 804 points ($2,500). 4th: S52 Matt Egel 802 points ($1,500). 5th: N53 Jessie Attard 748 points ($1,000). 6th: NQ7 Lachlan McHugh 672 points. 7th: T22 Jock Goodyer 662 points. 8th: S97 David Murcott 644 points. 9th: S19 Brad Keller 630 points. 10th: S63 Ryan Jones 610 points.

With the Auction for the Kyle Larson race Suit now complete, it was time for the captain of the Allansford CFA to hand over the goods to the lucky bidder Steve Caunt on behalf of himself and Dee-Ann. Even during COVID we were able to make it happen!!
