25.01.2022 Candidate testimonial, 17th April 2021, always nice to receive Julie, thanks for your help and it has been very smooth and it definitely helped that you knew a lot about my new employer and the history of the business. So many recruitment companies only base their selection off a well-written CV and never ask the right questions. I felt you knew what was right to ask and the fact that both the company and yourself were seeking a person with good work ethics and you were unde...rstanding I have a family too. Thank you again, Jeff C Sales Engineer/Site Supervisor This candidate and specific skills were hard to find, but I worked with IPlace another recruitment firm, also a member of our NPA Global Recruitment Network. A great job done together and collaboratively
25.01.2022 What’s in it for the employees? In the world of work post COVID (PC)*, presenting a strong employee value proposition has never been more important. With our international borders closed, talent is becoming increasingly hard to find in many industries. Competition to attract the best people has heated up and all indications are it’s set to continue, certainly in the short-term....Continue reading

17.01.2022 Today's candidate feedback, 26th May 2021 Recruitment can be an intimidating and confronting process, I found Julie was able to break down these barriers and applied a more personal approach finding out my personal attributes and values to ensure that they were aligned with the employer. At the same time, there was a structure with the recruitment process which included clear communication of the next stage. I appreciated the honesty and encouragement along the way which ult...imately resulted in a very positive outcome. In summary, I found the whole experience very efficient, well structured and transparent. I would certainly be happy and confident to use Julie at Premium Consulting for any future employment opportunities. Eddie A, Marketing & Program Executive

16.01.2022 A lovely candidate testimonial, Sept 2020 "As a candidate, my interview with Julie was one of the best Ive ever had with a recruiter. She was both professional and personable and right from the start, made me feel at ease. What made it different from other interviews is that she took the time to not only thoroughly understand my experience but also get a good sense of my character and if I would be a good cultural fit for her client and vice versa an important process often overlooked. I found that Julie asked the right questions that an employer would want to know and was skilled in probing for more detail. She was able to answer all of my questions honestly and I could tell she was very sincere in wanting to find the right match for her client." Cheers Nadine D

15.01.2022 Kind words and feedback from a candidate, Dec 2019 Julie Parsons is the best recruiters I have ever worked with. She is highly professional and deals with her clients in a way where you as a candidate do not feel strange. 15.01.2022 If you don't get the job it may not be the right one for you, see below. I applied for an internal position. Aced the interview but still got rejected even though I was the top candidate. I later learned the person hired was a friend of my boss. I got tired of the office politics and started applying to other companies, and within 3 months I got a much better job. My old boss asked me to come back for the same promotion. I told him "thanks but no thanks." Lessons learned: 1....You can be the best candidate and still not get selected. 2. If you didn't get the job, it was never meant for you. 3.You weren't rejected, you were redirected. 4. Your value does not decrease based upon someone's inability to see your worth. 5. Believe in yourself and keep trying, the right door will open for you. See more

12.01.2022 Are you struggling to find those action verbs for your achievements in your resume? Here is a list of 27 success words that will help you land your next job
12.01.2022 How COVID-19 has created demand for workers Ivan Colhoun, Chief Economist at NAB, says that as Australia continues to face the COVID-19 health crisis, nurses have been vital in helping the healthcare industry to meet growing demand. Some frontline workers in hospitals and aged care may also be dropping out of the industry because of the strain, he says. This will be adding to the demand for health workers.... While healthcare features high on the Top-20 list, road transport also recorded a growth in demand for workers. Colhoun says this may be due to lockdown restrictions leading to a lift in online retailing. There was more online activity with many stores having to close their doors and increase their e-commerce focus, he says. That has a flow-on effect for logistics as well, as more people are needed for warehousing and then for home delivery.

11.01.2022 Leaders today are expected to be seen and heard. They need to know how to communicate to connect and engage, both online and offline, with individuals and in groups, and in casual and formal settings.

08.01.2022 How are things in Australia Job vacancies in Australia are surging. In fact, a recent Australian Bureau of Statistics survey of business conditions and sentiment found 13 percent of employers were being affected by staff shortages. For the period November 2020 to February 2021 job vacancies increased by 14 percent.... Australia's leading jobsite, SEEK, also released their employment report for March that saw the company break a number of its records. During March, they had the highest number of job ads posted in their history and applications per ad were at their lowest level since March 2012. So, where does that leave the jobseeker? In perhaps an enviable position. And the employer? Perhaps struggling to find suitable staff.
08.01.2022 The most important perks for employees SEEK recently undertook research which showed 24 per cent of Australians believe employee benefits play a significant role in deciding where they work. The research found the top five perks (aside from salary) were:... 1. The ability to choose their own working hours during the day 2. Extra time off for additional hours worked 3. The ability to work from home 4. Health insurance 5. Subsidised education, training or personal development courses Flexible working conditions are important for people to be involved in family activities, for example, school drop off and pick up. Increasingly we are seeing both parents working, and this means that balancing childrens needs becomes complex unless you have the benefit of an employer offering flexible or remote working.
07.01.2022 Candidate feedback, great to receive 22nd November 2019 Julie Parsons of Premium Consulting is the most thorough recruiter I have ever met. She asked me about my past experience and skills in great detail, as she wants to be sure shes found the right fit for her client. Her brisk, professional and friendly manner makes her easy to talk to and its clear she wants the best outcome for all parties. She even gave me some great advice on how to improve my resume.... 07.01.2022 Its been a tough year for many So it's great to get this feedback today from a candidate I just placed After applying online for a communications role, I was contacted by Julie Parsons, who took the time to get to know me informally besides what she had gleaned from my CV. The initial contact was relaxed and left me feeling I was dealing with a consummate professional. Julie understood the value I would bring to the organisation and communicated my worth, which resulted in me gaining an interview. Throughout the recruitment process, she kept me abreast of discussions, and the icing on the cake was landing the role. Thank you, Julie, for looking beyond the words on my CV, finding the sparkle and running with it to create a win-win situation. Once again, thank you for assisting me to gain my new role Lisa A

05.01.2022 job seekers - are you making these mistakes? I've had hundreds of resumes in my inbox within the last two weeks. With our current workload (yay!) and client turnaround times, the culling process is one of the processes that takes times.... Here are my top tips to ensure your resume stands out in front of any #recruiter or hiring manager. Formatting matters. Don't make us squint or search too hard for the 'relevant' experience or education. Spelling and grammatical errors are a NO NO. No cover letter when specifically asked for one? Always tell us WHY you are the right fit. It's most important to see YOU adding value to the team. Sending a resume that has been sent to a 100 others? That shows you're not serious about the role and didn't want to invest time in tailoring your application.

03.01.2022 Employment Post Covid 19 Almost 600,000 Australians lost their jobs due to COVID-19 in April 2020 and the pandemics disruption to major industries has undeniably changed the way we work, and the jobs and skills in demand. The research commissioned by ING reveals that as a result, one in three (35%) Aussie adults are likely to look for a new job post pandemic. This includes half (45%) of all Millennials. More than 3 million want a complete career change, and 12% are consideri...ng a job in essential services to ensure their roles remain relevant. The rapid change has led to a state of anxiety, with 23% of Aussies fearful about future job opportunities and 32% expecting employment opportunities to be very hard to come by. The report explores the rapid acceleration of digital technologies, combined with the compression of change and the impact this is having on the jobs and skills needed for the future workforce and how COVID-19 has accelerated innovation. Top 20 emerging and indemand jobs explores new career opportunities and ones designed to minimise risk and reflect changes brought about by the pandemic. See more

03.01.2022 Today's candidate testimonial, 23rd September 2019 Julie is an excellent consultant who was very quick and meticulous in matching my profile with the clients requirements. Her professionalism was clearly exhibited with prompt responses and continuous updates about the progress of my job application throughout the recruitment process. She took me through an in-depth interview and subsequently arranged further interviews with the client. She was supportive throughout the whole... process and sounded equally excited when I was offered the job, not so much that she has completed the task, but more so that she felt she had found a good match for both the company and myself. It has been a pleasant experience working with her and I would strongly recommend potential candidates to work with such a passionate, knowledgeable and talented recruiter. Sree M, Site QA Manager NZ
