25.01.2022 Happy Fathers Day to all the fathers, to all who wish to be fathers, to all the fathers that are forever missed and to all the fathers who have lost. This day is so special for some and such a terribly sad reminder for others. Im thinking of you and sending love to all. A special shout out to my baby daddy; Chris, you are an incredible father. Watching you become a father has been beautiful to watch. And to my own father; youve taught me to be autonomous, to always follow my dreams and to laugh everyday



25.01.2022 Something touched me deeply today and I felt the need to share it. A client stopped me this morning before class to tell me how truly thankful she was to PPF for creating our online workouts. She was pregnant at the time of the Covid lockdown and had just been able to start up classes in person with us when we had to shutdown. She said she was devastated she had to stop coming to class, especially as she needed to keep up her Pilates for her pregnancy, labour, recovery..., not to mention mental health. She said that the prenatal and barre workouts she did at home all the way up to her delivery helped her so much. I almost cried when she said that she talked to me on her screen during the workouts, as I told her to keep going, focus on the breath, lift the pelvic floor, etc. I was beyond touched that this lovely client reached out to me to say thank you and share how the online workouts we created had such a positive impact on her life and her pregnancy, especially as we couldnt be there physically at the studio for her. It killed me that I couldnt see my clients everyday and help them with their pregnancies, post natal journeys, injuries, goals, as well as just generally discuss the wonderful, crazy adventure we call life. Ill never forget how low that feeling felt. Chris and I set up the PPF platform to keep our clients motivated, both physically and mentally. We wanted to reach out to you all and say: we are still here; we still care for you, and we still want to help you. I think I was so focused on getting through the lockdown that I only focused on how much I needed my clients, not on how you needed us. It warms my heart to hear that we helped YOU get through the lockdown, that we helped your mental health and that we enriched your lives online, when we couldnt be there in person. This past year has tried to take so much from so many people. One of the worst things it continuously tries to take is our connection with each other and, as a flow on affect, our mental health. I refuse to let it. The PPF community didnt allow the lockdown to weaken our connections and for that I am so, so grateful. Thank you to all our clients and our instructors, from the bottom of my heart. You keep me moving forwards. See more

22.01.2022 Our beautiful instructor Ellie has been with PPF since February 2016! She taught her last class with us last night, as she is off to set the physiotherapy world on fire! Over the past four and a half years we have watched Ellie grow into an incredible instructor and an extremely intelligent physiotherapist. She helped shape PPF into what it is today and we will miss her so much. We all love you Ellie, even when your Pilates and HIIT classes make our muscles sore for a week! We wish you all the best and dont forget to pop in to say hi! x x

I dont really eat that much and I eat pretty healthy! but unfortunately if that were the case, you would be losing weight. Portion control can carry the brunt of the blame for the extra weight added over the course of our life. As we age, our required energy intake decreases, which becomes problematic when still consuming food like you were at the rip...e age of 18 or 19! So what is the best way to combat this problem? Here are three simple steps to help with your portion sizes: Throw out your large dinner plates and bowls. They are not necessary! Instead, use a side plate or a kids bowl to dish out your food Eat slowly and mindfully! Meals are not a race. Your body needs time to process and digest foods and activate hormones to help with satiety (feeling of being full) When making a recipe from a cookbook or magazine, stick to the recommended serves or use a few more plates/bowls than recommended. This will help you stick to the portion size or even have a little bit less. See more

01.01.2022 I want to introduce you to Pete Keith, author of the book The World Exists Between Your Ears and long term client of PPF! If you have been to our Camp Hill studio, you have probably seen Pete, his gorgeous wife Sal and their rescue greyhound Daisy. Pete and Sal are the most positive people I have ever had the fortune of meeting. Therefore, when Pete told me that he had written a book I was super eager to read it and absorb some of his knowledge about neuroscience and... how he stays so positive. What I have personally learnt from Petes book: To get better at noticing my inner voice, and to challenge it. To get clear on what I want, not what I dont want. That my behaviour (and all humans behaviour) is determined by my state of mind. I have the power to change my state of mind. To focus on listening to the person whose lips are moving!
