25.01.2022 Year 12 Italian class spent two nights away on an Italian immersion camp a few weeks ago. Students completed assessments, practiced their orals skills and played languages games, all in Italian of course! It was an educational and fantastico experience.



24.01.2022 Last week we held our Awards Ceremony, live-streamed to the rest of the College. Acknowledging the achievements of students is always a joy and we would like to extend congratulations to everyone for their efforts in their studies this year! 24.01.2022 A small group of Year 9 students are involved in an exciting astronomy research project, including having a postcard sent into space! Run through CEWA, they are holding a video meeting with Club for the Future and Blue Origin. This is a US company that is working with NASA to build reusable spacecrafts that will fly into space, to the moon and even to mars in the future!

22.01.2022 Elastic Band Car Challenge | The Elastic Band Car Challenge took place yesterday in the Gym during lunch. The car that traveled the furthest won a Pizza Lunch organised by Science!

22.01.2022 Last week, Year 11's showed their gratitude by covering the staffroom boards with kind thank yous and messages for their teachers. This heartwarming tradition was started by 2019 Head of Year 11, Margarita Tranquille and was continued this year with 2020 Head of Year 11, Alison Robinson and the cohort.

22.01.2022 Over the past few weeks, years 7-10 have participated in their retreats. There was a range of activities from being busy bees at St Simon Peter Parish, to volunteering at the Vinnies depot. All retreats revolved around themes of serving the community and following the word of the Good Shepherd, important values for any Prendivillian!



22.01.2022 Thanks to Ms Rice and Mission and Identity, Prendiville has donated a glass crucifix to the Siari Chapel Project. Here you can see it proudly displayed in Zamboanga Del Norte in the Phillippines! The initial Across the World project began 3 years ago, and its great to see it still underway!

22.01.2022 Thats a wrap! The Cast of The Wizard of OZ have performed in 6 shows over 4 days, with wonderful reception from the audience. It was great seeing so many future stars on stage at our Redmond Theatre. Congratulations to Emily Lyons our Director, and Andrew Hislop our Music Director, as well as all staff and students involved in the making of this spectacular event!

21.01.2022 Last Friday our College was abuzz! Full of vivid colour, beautiful music and fantastic smells, Prendivillage Day had it all. Students had their craziest socks on, participated in carnival games, ate great food, and were entertained by their talented peers. And the timing could not have been any better, as the sun began to shine just as the festivities began! Afterwards our Prendivillian spirit shone as students competed in a house relay to end the day.

21.01.2022 This week, the Yirri Yaarkin group continued their project, making Aboriginal versions of our House College mascots.

21.01.2022 Here are some highlights from last weeks Year 10 Leadership Day. Students took on some workshops and leadership activities, including this team building exercise. This will prepare the Year 10s for the extra leadership opportunities that will be available as they enter their final years at the College.

20.01.2022 The new iconic addition to the College campus is a time-capsule at the entrance of Prendiville Way. Head of Creative Arts, Eamon Matthews, placed the capsule into place today. Inside the capsule are memories and letters from this year's College Leavers. It will be uncovered and opened in 20 years time.

19.01.2022 Another livestream assembly was held during Prendiville Time this week to award Colours Certificates, as well as certificates for Academic Excellence. It is fantastic that while we wait to hold whole-school assemblies again, we are still able to broadcast to the College, and even parents watching from home! 18.01.2022 AEIPATHY | Congratulations to Ms Johnson and our Performing Arts team for preparing our students for the 2020 Dance Showcase. Our students excelled in showcasing the work they have been doing through their Dance curriculum in 2020. From Tap to Jazz to Contemporary Dance it is always inspiring to witness the joy of dance through the student performances.

16.01.2022 Prendiville Pause for Remembrance Day 2020. Take a moment to reflect with this beautiful piece featuring our talented staff Andrew Hislop (Head of Performing Arts) and Anne-Marie Duce (Head of Year 8). "In Paradisum" was written in memory of two WA brothers Francis & Theodore Burt killed on the Western Front WWI. The piece was composed by Perry Joyce who taught voice at Prendiville. ... It was recorded in Burt Memorial Hall (one of Australia's earliest and biggest war memorials) built in memory of Theodore and Francis by their devastated father.

16.01.2022 Our Language week draws to a close! We had a great week of activities at the College. Thanks to our Chef Manager Pam we showcased a new cultural cuisine each day this week! As well a Spaghetti eating contest was held, Year 7 Italian students were out on the lawn for a fun game of Bocce, and the College received a visit from a Gelato van!

Thank you to the Surf Science teachers Mr Giannasi, Miss Hynes, and in particular Mr Baddock (Surf Science Coordinator) for all your effort and guidance in preparing the students for this competition.

11.01.2022 The Parents of Prendivilles Little Red Letterbox returned last week, looking for students to nominate acts of kindness/friendship amongst their peers. A Nomination was chosen at random, so congratulations to Year 11 student Harry, who nominated his friend Josh for going the extra mile!

08.01.2022 Last Thursday saw the arrival of our new Chorum 40 organ from Viscount Classical Organs, constructed in Italy and shipped from the UK. We hope this inspires our students to take up this magnificent instrument and give them a better understanding of the organs they see at St Marys and St Georges Cathedrals and at the Perth Concert Hall. Here we see Year 12 organist Mitchell Rigney performing. We are very grateful to Viscount Organs and 3 Monkeys Audiovisual for their efforts in getting it over to us and we look forward to plenty of music making on this magnificent instrument!

04.01.2022 Chisholm Houses Day of Inclusion helped promote R U OK Day in the Prendivillage. Reefbreak Cafe provided yellow cupcakes and positive post-its decorated the Community Engagement Office window. Conversations were encouraged around campus for this important day of wellbeing.

04.01.2022 This week Year 11 students celebrated the end of their exams cruising across the Swan River! Everyone had an amazing night amongst some incredible views of the city.

04.01.2022 Congratulations to the senior boys AFL team on being crowned CAS premiers for the first time. After so many close results throughout the years, it was fantastic to see such a large crowd of parents, staff and students witness this historic moment. The future is certainly looking bright at Prendiville in AFL with many of the students in the team being in Year 10 and 11. Thank you to Mr Boston Williamson and Mr Jason Todd for their efforts in coaching and leading this team.

02.01.2022 The Meta art and design exhibition presented by North Metropolitan TAFE was held as part of the Perth Winter Arts Festival. This exhibition presents innovative, exploratory and exciting works completed by some of Western Australias most creative year 11 and 12 students enrolled in Visual Art and Design courses, and of course, we had a great showcase of Prendivillian talent! Well done to Blair Cargill, Cameron Crain, Georgia Cutler, Mitchell Rigney and Kaide Wheelock!

01.01.2022 Paul Reid from Caritas Australia came to meet with a handful of staff and students, who on behalf of Prendiville presented a donation of $2582.90 made from money raised by the community. The fundraiser ran alongside Project Caritas during Lent and it was great seeing the generosity of staff and students

01.01.2022 Nine teams from year 10-12 competed in the annual Volleyball schools cup on Friday and Saturday. In what was a very successful round robin stage, five of the teams made the finals on Saturday. Congratulations to the Year 11 boys on winning the gold medal in the A division. Special mention to Harry ODonnell who won the MVP for the grand final. Thank you to Mr Boston Williamson, MIss Celina Hynes, Miss Rachael McLlheney and Miss Ashley Sharp, as well as ex-students Grace Moran, Matteo Bresciani, Sean Wales, and Mikolaj Goscicki for their work throughout.
