23.01.2022 Who says learning can’t be fun? We have been learning all about materials in Science this term. Today we discussed why different objects would be made from particular materials. There were some great ideas shared about this including the functionality of the object/item. We read ‘The Three Little Pigs’ and discussed why the brick house was not able to be blown in by the big bad wolf. ... Then, we had some fun recreating the sequence of events from in the book!

22.01.2022 What a fun and exciting way to end Term 2! This term we have been doing a lot of work around the book ‘We’re Going on a Bear Hunt’. Today the Preppies went on their own bear hunt! We saw long wavy grass, a deep cold river, thick oozy mud, a dark forest, a swirling whirling snowstorm and a narrow gloomy cave. Just like in the book! We couldn’t go over them... We couldn’t go under them... WE HAD TO GO THROUGH THEM!! ... We found a small bear snoozing deep inside the narrow gloomy cave and decided to invite her to our teddy bear picnic. We shared loads of yummy food with our teddy bears and friends before reading a book to our teddy bears.

11.01.2022 Parents of children due to commence Prep in 2021. We are hosting an Open Evening event that will provide an opportunity for you to visit the school and check out all that St Mary's Catholic Primary has to offer. All are welcome to come and enjoy the Entertainment, BBQ and Bar. We hope to see you there!
