25.01.2022 Had a few groups coming through for barefoot bowls on the weekend. This is a group from Latrobe Uni enjoying the facilities and the great weather.

25.01.2022 In partnership with This Girl Can, and Darebin council we invite women to come a give bowls a go for free on the 27 November 2020 at 1.00pm. Bowls is a great social way to get active and suitable for beginners. Free coaching tips and all equipment provided.

25.01.2022 Great day today when we were finally allowed to have a roll up. Beautiful weather and everybody enjoying finally getting out and doing what we love doing. Small steps but the road to recovery has commenced. Thanks to everyone for following the social distancing and following all the health regulations set out. See you Thursday.

25.01.2022 We welcomed the wonderful people who work at Mercy Residential Aged Care in Keon Park to their annual Christmas party. We hosted them last year and it was an absloute privilege to host them again this year. They all had a great time on the greens and with the wonderful barbeque provided to them under the current covid safe rules. Look forward to them returning next year.

24.01.2022 Good news. Council has given approval for our greens to reopen. However, you must make a booking especially this week. Times are restricted to hour and a half from tomorrow. If you wish to have a gain, send a reply to this message. If you are a member of our club and have an email address, you would have received one from me today. Its great news. Also get ready for a return to pennant. This is looking likely to be on Saturday 28 November.

23.01.2022 Great win today. Our number one team defeated Dandenong Club today to secure promotion to Division One. We are into the semi finals of the Metropolitan Div 2 competition. Bring on Tuesday.

21.01.2022 We had a great weekend with our pennant sides with our top side winning against Strathmore which pushed us into the four. Our third side also had a great win against Fawkner and have also pushed themselves into the four. Unfortunately, the seconds found Moonee Ponds too good for them and are sitting in second last place. We have one more game before the break. Top side plays Ivanhoe at Ivanhoe, the seconds have Strathmore at home, and the thirds have West Coburg at home. Good luck to all our sides on the weekend.

21.01.2022 Well today is the day that pennant resumes in Melbourne. Good luck to our three pennant sides. The top side is at home to Alphington, while the second side travels to Whittlesea and our third side travels to Thornbury. Hoping for some great results but it is just great that the season is finally underway.

21.01.2022 Bowls and the bar are now open to members and the public. Hope to see you soon.

18.01.2022 With the weather heating up, there is no better time to come down to our club and book your barefoot bowls with friends or family. We have a great beer garden to enjoy after your game so join us for some fun, and a relaxing atmosphere with great outdoor area and music to enjoy. Bookings are available anytime.

17.01.2022 Congratulations to Wayne Kennedy and Charlie Bosco for winning the Club Open Pairs competition is a hotly contested final. Commiserations to our defeated finalists, Darrin King and Tina Lenerham who were gallant in defeat. One shot separated them after 18 ends.

16.01.2022 Here are some photos from the Car Show at our Bowls Club today. Pity about the weather but those that came out had a great time.

15.01.2022 Unfortunately, due to the latest Government directive and lockdown of Metropolitan Melbourne for the next 6 weeks, we are forced to close the greens and our clu...b. Once we are allowed to operate again, we will advise everyone accordingly. To all our members and others, please stay covid safe. Keep adhering to social distancing and sanitise frequently. Stay at home unless for one of the four reasons provided by government and we will all get through this. See more

15.01.2022 This message is to inform members and interested parties that our club will continue to open as Reservoir is not one of the lockdown suburbs. Therefore we will continue to open Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays, and Sundays. However, if you reside in any of the lockdown suburbs, you are unable to bowl at our club until at least July 29. I dont think this relates to too many of our members but we must be vigilant during this Covid 19 times.

15.01.2022 Here are some shots from our Bowling With Babies program that we have been running since April 1. It has proven so successful that we are continuing to run through the rest of April and May. If the weather turns nasty, we can always roll out the mats for a game of carpet bowls. Our Bowling With Babies program runs from 9.30am till 11.00am every Thursday.

14.01.2022 Photos from our Super Veterans Day today. Thanks to Robyn Russell from Northern Gateway to present Super Vets badges to Bill McKay, Barry Herrald, Mario DeLuca, John Dalmasso, and Domenic Spasato.

13.01.2022 The Bowls committee met today and the greens will be back open for bowling members from Thursday 21 May 2020. Opening hours for our greens for May are Thursdays between 1.00pm and 5.00pm Saturdays between 12.00pm and 4.00pm... Sundays between 10.00am and 12.00pm Tuesdays between 11.00am and 3.00pm We have appointed volunteer supervisors to oversee each day and ensure that each follows the strict criteria that has allowed us to reopen our doors. The clubrooms remain closed until further notice. Failure to follow these guidelines will result in you being asked to leave the greens. The criteria will be sent to all members and will be available at the club. These hours are in place until at least 31 May 2020 when further announcements will be made. This is a small step in the recovery of our club and our sport. We hope that it is not long before we can reopen in full and getting on with normality.

11.01.2022 Barefoot bowls is back in a big way. New beer garden, great atmosphere guaranteed. We are available any day to meet your requirements big or small. We are especially pushing Friday and Saturday nights under lights.

11.01.2022 Sorry everyone but due to the inclement weather in Melbourne at the moment, the greenkeeper has closed the greens today and tomorrow. The weather is looking promising for early next week so we will be reopening our greens on Tuesday at 11.00am. Thanks for your patience but it can't be helped.

10.01.2022 A great little clip from a bowler at Mitcham Bowls Club introducing us to the Isolation Bowls Club. Very amusing. Hope you enjoy it.

10.01.2022 Loved the outfits from these guys. A group of friends from all over Melbourne having a Christmas celebration with barefoot bowls and beverages. Come again soon guys.

10.01.2022 Wishing all our members and friends a very Merry Christmas and a safe and prosperous new year.

09.01.2022 Weathers warming up but the beers are still cold. Come on down to the club for a game of barefoot bowls and stay on for a nice cold beverage in our beautiful outdoor areas. Friday night seems ideal so why not pay us a visit.

09.01.2022 It didnt quite go according to plans last week with the top side going down to Alphington and the third side going down heavily to Thornbury. However our seconds fought hard to get a draw against Whittlesea. This week the top side travel to Fairfield who also lost their first game so a very important game for the number one side. The second and third sides both host Epping RSL and we are hopeful that results will go our way this weekend. Good luck to all our sides. GO LAKIES

06.01.2022 We are ready to take Christmas work functions and barefoot functions subject to the current covid restrictions. We can tailor your event to meet your requirements under a covid safe environment.

05.01.2022 Have you ever wondered how a lawn bowl is made. I found this you tube video. Very interesting.

04.01.2022 Amazing as the weather is, it has intervened for our resumption today. Greens will be closed all day today given the wet weather. Hopefully we are right to go for Saturday. Sorry for the inconvenience but greenkeeper has closed the greens today.

04.01.2022 Its certainly getting closer to some form of resumption. I think we will hear something concrete tomorrow. Watch this space.

04.01.2022 It arrived today. Well deserved I say.

03.01.2022 Looks like there may be some good news on the horizon.

02.01.2022 Here are some photos of a wonderful tournament held at our club last week. Congratulations to the team from Murrembeena who won the event. Thanks to all the volunteers who gave up their time to make this a great event. We will do it all again next year. Thanks to Ballycara for being our main sponsor.
