23.01.2022 We love Rivsalt, a gastronomic experience and a new way of adding salt to food. Natural himalaya salt is grated onto the dish with a Japanese stainless steel greater. Makes a beautiful dining table centrepiece. #gourmetgifts #forfoodies #presentcompany

20.01.2022 Some Local News The Kathleen Syme Library and Community Centre in Carlton (only a few minutes drive from the office of Present Company Included and Hamper Store) this Friday celebrates its first birthday since completion last year of a multi-million dollar restoration. In case you didn't know, Kathleen Alice Syme (1896 - 1977) was an active social worker, journalist and editor, and a company director. She was granddaughter to David Syme, founder of Melbourne's leading newspaper The Age. An expo of the building and new facilities including workshops, storytelling, face painting, and a free barbeque will be open to the public on 15 July, 5pm to 7pm.

08.01.2022 Certain to be a favourite in the Hamper Stakes, well pampered and trained to handle all conditions for this racing carnival, this filly is likely a front runner all the way through to the finish line.

07.01.2022 You are never going to get to everything at the Melbourne International Film Festival -- that's why our recommendations are essential! Here are a couple of selections for today that are sure to be time well spent. If you're a night owl, try Don Coscarelli's remastered 1979 cult horror movie Phantasm showing 11:30pm at ACMI. If that's too late, then get along to Philippa Hawker, ex-The Age film critic, in conversation with Jonathan Rosenbaum discussing the state of film culture today, 5:30pm at ACMI Studio 1.

07.01.2022 Great day at the Australian Open supporting this legend, despite the 39 degree heat! Well done Novak! #djokovic #ao #melbourne #presentcompany

07.01.2022 Guilt free bliss!!! Gluten, GM and dairy free, with no added sugar and so delicious, these are our go to afternoon pick me up treats. #delishbites #guiltfree #delicious #presentcompany

06.01.2022 With only two days left to go for the Melbourne International Film Festival, this weekend is your last chance to see three of the best from the Jerry Lewis retrospective The Errand Boy (13th August, 11:00am at ACMI 2), The Nutty Professor (13th August, 1:30pm at ACMI 2) and The Bellboy (14th August, 11:00am at ACMI 2). And while we've the chance, Present Company Included would like to celebrate the work of the volunteers their dedication to and rapport with audiences make attending the festival the number one occasion in Melbourne’s events calendar. They also wear great T-shirts!

05.01.2022 Our recommendations for today’s Melbourne International Film Festival. First choice goes to Elaine May's directorial debut A New Leaf -- May is brilliant as the dowdy heiress Henrietta Lowell, and Walter Matthau is at his mercenary best as the flat-broke playboy Henry Graham. Second choice goes to Being 17 by Andre Techine, a director who is consistently good at depicting teen relationships.

04.01.2022 Remembering Frida Kahlo Frida Kahlo, one of Mexico’s most famous artists, was born 109 years ago today. To all our friends, whether you’re a Sydney-sider or planning to travel to Sydney in the coming months, be sure to visit the Art Gallery of NSW for the exhibition Frida Kahlo and Diego Rivera. It contains 40 art works from the Jacques and Natasha Gellman Collection, including rarely seen photographs by Edward Weston, Nicholas Murray and Guillermo Kahlo, Frida’s father. Exhibition runs until 9 October 2016.
