11.01.2022 During Reconciliation Week 2021, our Kinder children explored the journey of our nation's First People through age-appropriate truth-telling and artworks. The children then expressed their understanding through artistic creations of their own; a drawing of the rainbow snake, the different emotions of our First People when colonists arrived in Australia, and Bunjil the eagle trying to protect the land and people.

08.01.2022 Multi-age learning and play have come together in Year 8 Design class this term - our Year 8s have been designing games that focus less on screen time and more on imaginative play in children aged 5-9. Our Arlington children have been their subjects and this collaborative approach has seen all ages groups working together in achieving great design ideas, fantastic prototypes while having lots of fun.

03.01.2022 At Arlington, children are supported to engage in responsible, thoughtful and meaningful action that will make a positive impact in the world. Eloise in our 9s (Grade 4) organised a fundraiser and raised almost $100 to go towards supporting animals injured in the bushfires.

02.01.2022 After all the fond farewells to our retiring Principal Marilyn Smith, we have reached the end of 2020. As we close the chapter on a year like no other, we wish everyone in our school community a wonderful summer break and we look forward to welcoming you back in Term One, 2021.

01.01.2022 Congratulations to Year 9 student Max whose short film 'The Apocalypse' recently premiered at the Lido cinema in Hawthorn as part of CHIFF (Children's International Film Festival). The 3 minute film was written, directed and edited by Max as part of his MYP Media studies in Semester 1 this year. Max also starred in the film, which was shot entirely in his backyard during lockdown. "I was initially motivated by the competition prize money, but found that I really enjoyed the technical and creative aspects of making the film, and covering myself with mud."
