Supported by staf...f from the Shire of Broome and the Department of Transport, the project was unpacked with lots of opportunities to ask questions. Fishing is a major local passion and that shows through with the recent community consultation on the proposed facility showing overwhelming support, with 74% of 1,221 responses either supportive (6%) or highly supportive (68%)! Lets go crew its our time to shine, we have a magnificent support base from the Department of Transport, The Shire Of Broome, Yawuru, Broome Port Authority and the State Government.... From 6pm, there are other locations if you cant make this one check out the Shire of Broome Website for other locations.

17.01.2022 BROOME FISHING COMPS SUCCESS SAILS ON AMAZING BILLFISH FISHERY The Broome Fishing Club held yet another successful Broome Billfish Classic on the weekend, high...lighting the world-class sailfish fishery off the Kimberley coastal town. In just two frenetic-fishing days of the tournament, almost 900 sailfish were raised, nearly 600 were hooked and 386 were tagged and four marlin were also caught. There cant be many sportfishing locations that can boast that kind of return and the comps almost unbelievable results prove Broome is home to some of the hottest sailfish action in the world!!! A big shout out to Broome Fishing Club for organising the event local clubs are the lifeblood of regional fishing and events like this allow anglers to gather, enjoy great action and pool information at the end of a days fishing over a beer or two. Long may the comp continue!

10.01.2022 Hi Everyone, We have started a petition in support of the safe boating facility that has been proposed by the Broome Shire and co, although the numbers showed a...n outstanding support for the ramp in the recent Broome Shire Survey it would appear that again a minority group is trying to undermine our efforts. So please get to all the tackle shops and sign the petition or alternatively come down to the Club over the weekend and sign up while you have a cold beverage and a top feed. Please remember this is important to the success of our proposed safe boating facility and the more signatures we get the better chance, we the majority of Broome will succeed. P.S.
