12.01.2022 Following on from our recent post, (see below), Pressmet Tooling would like to advise that we are open and it is business as usual. To put every one at ease, we are strictly adhering to all Government recommended protocols and whilst the best initial contact is by phone or email, our doors are open to anyone who requires any engineering assistance. With the shut down of many overseas manufacturing facilities, some companies cannot source vital components from their overseas ...suppliers. In many cases, these are components that were once manufactured in house, in Australia, by these companies. If your company is suffering shortages because you cannot get product from overseas, now might be an excellent opportunity to resurrect and service that old tooling and start to manufacture in house again. This initiative carries even more credence with the $A in free fall. That overseas price advantage is going to be evaporated very quickly. Here at Pressmet, we have already received several inquiries about exactly that. If you are considering moving down that path then get in contact with us and lets discuss the available options. It could be mutually beneficial. Australia desperately needs to retain what is left of our manufacturing sector and reactivate what has gone. We want to build submarines and warships but we can't even put together a refrigerator or television set anymore. But above all, follow the health guidelines and stay safe.
