21.01.2022 STONE BENCHTOP FABRICATOR WANTED Due to recent expansion and growth, Prestige Kitchens & Cabinets have an opportunity for a stone benchtop fabricator. This position will see you based at our Berri factory. You will play a key role within our Kitchens & Joinery team and will be mentored, coached and developed by highly skilled tradespeople. To be considered for this opportunity Prestige Kitchens & Cabinets are seeking: A hard worker... A professional outlook with a "can do" attitude, you will be self-motivated, honest and able to follow instructions A willingness to learn and use your initiative to assist in your development An ability to communicate clearly and professionally A strong safety awareness with the ability to demonstrate your passion for safety and quality A team oriented and customer focused disposition Current driver’s licence is desirable but not essential. Any previous work history within labouring, trade or similar will be highly regarded This role will commence on a casual basis, with the intention of developing to a full-time position for the right person, depending on their skill development. 17.01.2022 LAMINATE vs 2 PACK PAINT I am often asked what the better choice is. And the answer is, it depends on the look you are after and your budget!... Laminate is extremely durable and is available in huge range of colours and finishes. The limitations of laminate are that you must have a flat panel door (without any profile/detail) The flat panel door is generally considered a more modern/contemporary look and so may not be the ideal look for a more traditional home. 2 Pack paint allows for far more choice in relation to colour, as we can match paint with our onsite tinting machine. It also allows for your choice of finish gloss/satin/matt. You are also able to choose a profile for your doors ranging from a traditional shaker style or colonial style to a more formal bolection moulding. Although not as durable as laminate, we have the ability to repaint doors should accidents occur in our in-house spray booth. Please come into our Berri showroom to see examples of both Laminate and 2 Pack painted cabinetry and door profiles available.

14.01.2022 MEET BRIAN CAMPBELL (Bruno) Brian joined Prestige Kitchens & Cabinets in October 2011 with many years of experience as a carpenter/joiner and cabinet maker behind him. Brian also jointly owned a kitchen business in Mildura for many years before relocating to Berri. Brian is one of our main installers, well known for his attention to detail, tidiness and cheerful and friendly nature. Brian’s prior experience in his own business has given him the skills and abilities to co-...ordinate some of our bigger install projects. As one of the more senior members of our team (sorry Bruno) his no-nonsense/level-headed attitude is an invaluable asset to our team.

13.01.2022 MEET MITCHELL WINEN Mitchell started with Prestige Kitchens & Cabinets in January 2014 after completing his cabinet making qualification with another local cabinet maker. Mitchell, is a highly skilled and extremely efficient installer that we often throw the hard stuff at. Spray painting is another of Mitchell’s skills, churning out superior finished 2 pack painted doors and panels. If you are not already aware, Prestige Kitchens & Cabinets now manufactures stone benchtops ...in house through PresStone Pty Ltd. Mitchell has shown great interest and ability in this area and is now one of our main stone fabricators alongside Tony. Mitchell’s dry humour and quick-witted comebacks keep the crew highly amused. 02.01.2022 Tony and I recently attended a workshop in Adelaide and had the opportunity to wear the AGE EXPLORER suit. This suit allowed us to actually feel the physical changes to our body that are experienced as we age and how this impacts daily tasks within the kitchen.
