22.01.2022 The latest SEVS new model list is out: https://prestigemotorsport.com.au/new-sevs-approved-vehicl/ Most interesting two additions are the 1997 to 2000 WRX Type R STi 2-door coupe and the 62kWh Leaf e+ right up to current build dates (so any 62kWh Leaf can now be imported) including 2020 models, YES !! Notable exclusions are the 2005 to 2009 Honda S2000 AP2 (which seemed a sure thing given the larger 2.2L engine compared to the 2L locally sold model - so whether this stands o...r is challenged remains to be seen) and the 2019+ Audi e-tron which were both ruled INELIGIBLE. 17.01.2022 Well, it was nice while it lasted... This month we officially stopped taking orders for R34 GTR's, Supras, RX-7's, Silvias, 180SX's and several other models due to massive price rises in Japan this year. We are still sourcing R32 and R33 GTR's but probably just for the next 3 to 6 months if prices continue to rise as they have been. Allow $60K+ for a nice one and we suggest buying before the end of this year before it's too late. Given what's happened with R34 GTR's, R32 / R3...3 GTR's are on their way to $100K+ over the next couple of years. 12.01.2022 Looking for a Nissan Patrol (Safari) or Toyota Landcruiser from Japan ? Better get someone to check it closely for you first... most of these in Japan are rusted, faded and rough. With the occasional good one costing $30K+ landed in Aust. thanks to pressure mostly from the USA market. So after looking like a promising option under the 25 year rule when originally proposed, after the Govt. took 5 years to finally get it in place, by 2020 they're not really a viable import. This 1995 4.2L turbo Safari had more holes than a swiss cheese ! :D

A 2002 Supra RZ auto with the same km would literally cost 3 times as much. YES !! The Aristo TT is eligble for import to Aust under new SEVS, so you can keep the wife and kids happy with a super comfortable family sedan (with a beast of an engine lurking under the hood when they're not around shhh !).
