01.01.2022 Preston Marine will now be offering the option of a OXE 300hp diesel outboard to our range of vessels. They are a 6 cylinder in line, 3L twin turbo, common rail marinized BMW engine manufactured in Sweden. The 300hp in particular will be a great alternative to twin outboards on the 2C survey vessels and can also be fitted to the 820 - 900 Thunderbolt models. Average fuel savings compared to a petrol 300hp is up to 40% but they do come at a cost. The initial purchase price is +- 300% more expensive than a 300hp petrol outboard and they are +-130kg heavier.
