08.01.2022 This was our last photo for 2019 and it feels like it was only yesterday. I certainly want to be there right now in this beautiful beach cabin on the Sunshine Coast. We are still here... a quarter of the way into 2020 but we are still here doing what we love to do... draperies. Many of our clients are in regional areas and sent us photos and stories of the bushfires. Then later the floods. Then the death of my school friend Hannah Clark and her babies. And now this painstakin...g pandemic which has taken so many innocent lives and put the world into a standstill. We have all hurt and felt pain this year. I for one have buried my head under the sand hoping this will all end. But its not going to end soon, we have to enter a new normal for the rest of 2020 and its time to embrace it, and make it the best it can possibly be despite the difficulties. I put a message out there to collaborate with others to inspire others with ideas and projects for our most beloved spot... our home. And I was overwhelmed with support, that alone has inspired me to keep pushing through. Ive switched the news off, and now back to what I love and surrounding myself with beautiful textiles, inspiring interiors and started creative projects around my own home. I hope to share more over the coming weeks. Thanks for everyones support. 01.01.2022 Our top textiles used by our clients throughout 2019. Whites, naturals, greys, charcoals and blues. Very excited to see how new interior trends influence drapery choices in 2020. I find that international trends take about 2 years before they really start to influence drapery choices here in Australia. Whilst a trend for pure blues is trending, I feel various shades of greens and use of textured and heavier fabrics such as velvets will probably take centre stage for the next... 12 months. Keeping it neutral has been a strong drapery trend for the last 10 years with pops of colour used in other ways such as cushions and artwork will continue to be the safest option.
