16.01.2022 Walking to work I have noticed some street trees are starting to die because of the lack of rain this Summer. People will say they are the responsibility of the councils, which is true. But the Councils are just part of our Community. We pay them to look after our towns. They haven’t got the extra resources to water every street tree. Some of them have started putting the large green water containers at the base of significant trees. A significant tree is either old, rare ...or necessary to a particular creature. But for your little tree which gives you Oxygen, ambience, shade, a place for birds to rest it might need you. We have been told to run our taps for 20 seconds in the morning. If we put this water on our tree, it might save the tree. It might not, because of factors such as soil condition, lack of mulch, the tree is already too far gone. But it might. See more
