17.01.2022 WHAT'S MORE IMPORTANT, YOUR CHILD WINNING A SEASON OF SPORT WHEN THEY'RE 12 - OR THEM BEING ACTIVE AT THE AGE OF 30? In 2014 George Washington University conducted a study, and asked kids ''why'' they play sport. A resounding 90% of children all said the same thing... they ''play sport because it's fun''. Yet, one of the first questions we ask our children when they return from their sport, is, ''did you have a win''?... As parents, if we want our children to stay active way past their childhood, teen years and as adults, we need to allow them to develop a love for exercise (meaning they should enjoy what they are doing) and it not be all about winning or losing. Learn how to help your child develop a love of sports...

03.01.2022 BE THE CHANGE .................................. We loved this story that recently popped up in our feed. ... Meet Grace who is just six year of age. At school last week, Grace's teacher was explaining to her grade one class the rules behind ''Last Man Standing''. Grace put up her hand and asked... ''But what if the last one of us standing is a girl?''. The class changed the name of the game to ''Last Person Standing''. Be the change we want to see in our world, right! At any age. Well done Grace - you are certainly one pretty powerful girl (just like your mum Edwina). xx
