We know that according to the Snapshot data from 2019, there were 178 people stuck in a mental health inpatient bed with no clinical reason to be there because there aren't the right supports or accommodation for that person to be discharged. We were so delighted to welcome Selene Moonbeams, our volunteer walking the Bibbulmun track from Kalamunda to Albany to her checkpoint in Collie, around 1/3rd of the way through! We're so proud of you Selene, keep up the amazing work and we look forward to seeing you at the next big milestone of your hike!

02.01.2022 IN THE WEST TODAY: Newly released figures prove the State Government has only provided 209,070 of the nearly 3million hours needed across WA to community mental health support. These are the services that help people recover after a hospital stay and there is just not enough. The reason the Government can say they are spending record amounts is because it costs $1500 a day for a hospital stay. But it costs just $133 an hour for community support.
