Deb loves nothing more than using her knowledge and skills to support growth, and healing; she currently manages a team of Physiotherapists and Allied Health Assistants in a public health setting. She has 3 amazing children 2 delightful grandbabies and a bevy of adored nieces and nephews. Her sister Michelle is her greatest ally. Despite the challenges 2020 has thrown us all, she has this year qualified as a yoga teacher, fallen in love, been part of the OITO organising Committee and taken on a GV Pride Committee role. Deb loves yoga, camping, travelling and learning new skills, she shares her home with her son Lachlan and 2 ridiculously indulged Tibetan spaniels. 13.01.2022 Guest number 3 - for this Thu 22 Oct - Peter Baker Williams. I am 67 and have twin 36-year-old married sons, Rowan and Scott. I grew up on my parent's dairy far...m near Lockington; it had belonged to my grandparents before them. I attended university in Melbourne and was a secondary teacher there for 6 years before returning home to the country. I taught for a further 3 years at Pyramid Hill while living in Rochester (in my grandparents home) then moved to Echuca in 1984. I owned and ran Tangled Garden Bookshop with my partner for 32 years which we sadly closed it in 2014 as the bookworld changed. I believe that you need to do more than just be a member of Council. You need to be an active member of the community. My membership of a number of groups and organisations, demonstrates my commitment to that. Between 1987 and 2012 I was honored to serve six terms as a Councilor for Echuca with four terms as Mayor. I have been both the longest serving and third youngest Councillor. 08.01.2022 At Wednesday's Greater Shepparton City Council meeting, a motion calling for the establishment of an LGBTIQA+ advisory committee and action plan was carried una...nimously. The committee will take lead on recommending proposals to make Greater Shepparton council more inclusive. This is another great win in our Rainbow Local Government campaign. We're pleased to see Councillors doing what they can to support LGBTIQA+ inclusivity and equality in their local government areas.
