09.01.2022 COVID-19 update 18/03/20 100PAX customer limit Dear loyal customers, The government is making changes daily, and we are responding by changing our operations o...n a daily basis in response to their recommendations. Cockburn Ice Arena and Cabin 401 are committed to ensuring the health and safety for all workplace participants, and our skating and dining community. We are actively monitoring and following all guidance provided by the World Health Organisation (WHO), Department of Education, AMA (WA), and the Department of Health regarding the Coronavirus (COVID-19). We understand that many individual’s may be feeling concerned at this time and we want to assure you that at Cockburn Ice Arena & Cabin 401 the health and wellbeing of all is our number one priority. Presently, health authorities have placed new restrictions on organizations such as ours. Our programming will continue in a reduced and modified capacity to meet the new 100PAX guidelines. As of 18/03/20 clarification of the restriction of 100 PAX for venues is per single enclosed area with a roof and walls. As such each rink, the café and restaurant are considered separate rooms. Retail spaces have no restriction (eg proshop). With the pandemic we are seeing a decrease in patronage to our facility and we want to assure you that if you want to attend the rink or cabin in the immediate short term you will still be able to skate or have a meal. We can manage the numbers to stay under the government requirements. Facebook is not the best platform to view our operational changes a new landing page will be on our websites which will hold the following information, and be the place where information will be updated in the future. The following information is intended for our customers to explain to you how our operations will run in the coming days effective immediately. This should answer most questions you have. https://www.cockburnicearena.com.au//covid-customer-update

01.01.2022 Concise update for members Ice Hockey WA is committed to the health and wellbeing of all its members, including athletes and their families, volunteers, spectat...ors and administrators. We are monitoring official announcements from the WA State Govt in relation to COVID-19 closely for recommendations to sporting clubs and associations, in addition to conferring with, and following directives from, Ice Hockey Australia. Currently, there have been no changes to the season schedule. To minimise the risk and for the safety of all members please follow the general guidelines: We advise that you do not shake hands before or at the end of games. Keep your gloves on and just tap each others gloves. Hand hygiene is critical. Clean your hands with soap and water for 20 seconds, or an alcohol-based hand rub. Wash your hands frequently. Do not share water bottles. Do not share whistles (coaches and officials). No spitting on and off the ice. Cover your nose and mouth when coughing and sneezing with tissue or a flexed elbow. Always practice cough etiquette (keep away from other people, cover coughs and sneezes with disposable tissues or clothing, and clean your hands). Avoid close contact with anyone with cold or flu-like symptoms. Do not attend or participate in training or games if you are unwell. If you have arrived in Perth from overseas since 9:00pm 15 March 2020, or fall within other Department of Health criteria, you must follow appropriate self-isolation guidelines. IHWA with the Clubs will continue to monitor and provide updates as more information relevant to our sport becomes available. Regards Executive Committee, Ice Hockey WA
