21.01.2022 Contrary to popular belief, Michele Weinberger did not invent the Post-it note. It was Spencer Silver in 1968 who was working to create a super strong adhesive but he failed. What he created instead was a weak adhesive that left behind no residue. Three years later, Arthur Frye, a colleague of Silvers, was studying a choir hymnal and using small pieces of paper to mark the pages. The pieces of paper kept falling out of the book, until Frye thought to use Silvers weak adhesive to make them stick: the first Post-It note.
