Hands down beats sit ups Caution dont throw the dumbells, press them instead, like you would with a shoulder press

13.01.2022 Rest in peace My trusty resistance band has failed me. Has held up for about 4 years, has done lots of work, l did like the feel. In the market for something new.

11.01.2022 2 variations of a Hip hinge, primarily working the glutes (butt muscles) Left view (kettlebell swings)... Right view (Dumbell pendulum swings) In my opinion dumbells do feel smoother, body in better position, shoulders dont internally rotate as with kettlebells, less shoulder irritation l find. Dumbells challenges more of the body, as you need to challenge stability aswell. Try for yourself.

11.01.2022 Got A New bag. Aqua ball. Filled up with water. Just like hitting real bodies... It is pretty cool to hit. Hook punches Uppercuts work well. Will make use of this in our Boxing, kickboxing classes aswell. Back to it, more bag work to practice

11.01.2022 Have you got a foam roller If you haven't, do yourself a favour and purchase one. The overall benifits has to be tried to be believed. Release muscle tension. Reduce aches and pains.... Great for pre and post workouts, (warm ups and cool downs) Reduce DOMS ( delayed onset muscle soreness, from hours to days after strenuous activity) Increase blood flow. Reduce injuries. Great for those that don't even exercise, but would like to reduce pain and discomfort in muscles. relaxing, helps in sleeping well. Alternative to some stretching routines. The list of benifits go on. Foam rolling is a great starting point to release & relax muscle tension, helping fix muscle imbalances, Its been a game changer for pain free movement, or at least decrease in pain It has made me aware of how my body was feeling, why l was sore, or muscles were tight, affecting especially my lower back in my case. I now can work out the muscle tensions before they become painful, restricting movement or even out of action.. "NO ONE WANTS TO BE OUT OF ACTION" Life is to short, why miss out on doing the things we love doing right ? Foam rolling in my opinion is the entry level to releasing muscle tension. It's easy to learn, has a larger surface area to work with. We then can utilise other tools, such as tennis balls, lacrosse balls, mini basketballs, PVC pipe, theracane etc. We then get into the real Myofascial release technique If you would like to know more, hit me up..

09.01.2022 Here we go again Lock down gyms will be closing this Wednesday night. I am happy to run all classes up untill 815 pm Wednesday night as normal. I have been working on movements that can be improved on, always aiming for perfection lots to do but love the process. 04.01.2022 Hi all, as of Monday 3-8-2020 we will all be expected to wear face coverings. FACE COVERINGS TO BE WORN AT ALL TIMES. On arrival.... During and after exercise. The only reasons to remove mask is if you you are doing high cardio and feel that your breathing is restricted. If you have a medical condition, meaning you are not required to wear face coverings, please let me know before your sessions. STRICT POLICY - NO MASK NO TRAINING... IF YOU FEEL UNWELL HAVE A FEVER OR ANY OTHER COVID -19 SYMPTOMS PLEASE STAY HOME. Follow the government guidelines for your local area on covid 19 regulations. Reminder to bring towels to place down over mats, floor coverings and for personal use. etc. Hand sanitizer to be applied before and after training. Disenfectant spay & wipes available. Arrival times to be no more than 5 minutes prior to your sessions, allowing Primal Connect time to clean between classes. Lets stay safe and protect us all. 04.01.2022 Top exercise Bosu skaters Below dumbell alternating pendulum squat. Skaters work the glutes quite hard, definitely in my clients top 5 for overall development. Its a challenging 1.. Hip hinging and thoracic rotation leads to increased glute activation. Skaters can also be done without the bosu, body weight movement at its best, no equipment needed.... Pendulum squats another great hip hinge & Rotational movement, working your lower and upper body all in 1. Including core. (Abs) Give them a try. See more
