25.01.2022 Tell me Why can't you do (insert goal) again? Let nothing hold you back. In the end, it's just an excuse if you can get up and moving.

24.01.2022 'Its the last one that counts. That's where you improve.'

13.01.2022 "What it took to lead a healthy, happy life was totally different than what I had expected when I was still struggling to "become healthy and happy." Only when ...I traveled around the world and found people from many different cultures behaving similarly, did I discover that there were certain common actions and attitudes which change health and happiness from a goal into a process, into an ongoing journey instead of a never-arriving destination. Here are the 10 things people do which create health and happiness as a byproduct of their lifestyle. 1. They stop trying to achieve what others are doing, and focus on their growth for that particular day, and they don't care if others like or approve of their approach to daily practice. 2. They do things because they enjoy them, are excited, challenged and curious about them, not because they're rules that an expert or authority tells them they ought to follow. 3. They have a very strong support group, but they don't depend upon them for their individual motivation or growth. They don't take from their group, but rather give to their group, even when things are tough... Perhaps, especially when things are tough, they give rather than take. 4. When you ask them what they are doing, they don't name a product, but tell you their current process. They give you what challenges which they are solving, what they're unlocking through their practice, or what they're exploring the potential of. 5. When you ask them where they are in their current goals, they explain to you that "for now" they're concentrating on today's objectives and discoveries, but admit that they will certainly be different eventually. They can give you a hard plan of execution, and will admit to you that most likely nothing will go as planned, and they're okay with that. 6. They only follow a single perspective if they've rigorously considered all the alternatives, and by doing so, they're pleasant and confident skeptics; neither cynic nor believer. They have no problem incorporating new discoveries as they arrive, and actually enjoy finding where they're wrong, because they've then grown. 7. They see their health and life as a playground, not a factory; as hard, disciplined fun, not begrudging, toilsome work. Their activities and behaviors are challenging freedoms, not obeyed laws. 8. They have very clear direction of where they'd like to go, but are deeply rooted to today's "next step." 9. They don't try to evangelize or convert others to their perspective, but support others in their own process (yet, remain firmly assured in their own path.) They can even cheer on others, despite them being on a different path. 10. They know that eventually, and always sooner than anyone hopes, tragedy will strike, so instead of trying to protect themselves against all risks, they seek out the next risk worth taking, and so, they live with very few regrets... Even when tragedy eventually arrives, they have lived such full lives that they don't lament starting over, or saying goodbye. If you're striving to become healthy and happy, you'll never get there. So, instead, be it now. I wish these 10 for you, as I too seek to embrace them in my own process of living." 12.01.2022 This 63-year-old is in better shape than you.

09.01.2022 If it’s one thing I’ve learned, it's that nutrition is never about food. Nutrition is always about emotions, beliefs, what we’ve grown up with and mostly, what... we think is normal. If you’ve hit a plateau in your fat loss efforts, or you eat healthy but the weight isn’t coming off, I think I can show you where you’ve been going wrong Carbs are probably the most confusing aspect of nutrition. Most of us have absolutely no idea how easy it is to consume too much of some, and not enough of others. Confused about carbs? I'd like to help. :-) Pics & info at http://mp-body.com/ask_the_dr/carb-delusions Have a great week!

04.01.2022 People pass over effective nutrition / exercise programs and stop following them because the guidance feels uncomfortable to the routine with which they've beco...me habitualized. We stop not because it won't work but because we feel we can't or don't want to. It's not that programs are ineffective; compliance is. Solid programs are 100% effective when applied with 100% compliance, but you only need to be 80% compliant, over the course of a month, to get the bulk of what you've targeted as your goal. Trainers and companies want to strawman against boogeyman programs so you believe in their good programs and not "all of the junk." You'll stop buying more products, if you don't quit the current one. Your transactional relationship with them ends when you buy, so they won't tell you the truth: If you follow a program exactly, you're almost guaranteed total success. The fitness industry concocts "bro science" gobbledygook encouraging you to "do what you enjoy, whatever you like; jump from one thing to the next when you feel like it." In motor development science, we call this: Skill Sabotage. They encourage you to "play" around and learn at the crawl's pace of children, because they profit from your failure. If you fool around flippantly, you'll never practice sufficiently to create a sustainable, structural adaptation. All the better for their coffers. In reality, it only takes 2-3 months to develop a skill to 80% mastery and get the equivalent results. Commitment. Discipline. Consistency. These three juggernauts ensure results regardless of the program. Dedicated people follow these three so well that they can even reap results from ineffective programs! It's not vogue to tell you that you need to tighten up and get it together. We live in a gentler society now who doesn't want to offend you by telling you that you can become better than you are; it's only appropriate today to be an apologist and soothe that, "the program may not fit your body type and personality." Coaches who give a damn will candidly explain, "if applying it feels hard, it's probably exactly what you should do daily till it's not." Coaches who are willing to tell you the truth, even if they lose you as a client, are those whose guidance you should comply to; for succeeding so you CAN leave the supervision of a coach, and become autonomously directed and intrinsically motivated IS THE GOAL! -Scott B. 03.01.2022 How to practice effectively ... for just about anything:

03.01.2022 I need your help... As some of you know I've been having some...well, lets call them challenges in terms of censorship surrounding the film. The trailer for the... film is not allowed to be seen in cinemas (with a rating M or less) and the film poster cannot be promoted on some social media sites as it is showing too much "flesh". *sigh* It is very hard to get the word out about the film when it is being blocked on various platforms, I'm incredibly frustrated. On a personal note I didn't spend two years of my life making this film and sacrificing more than anyone will ever know for it NOT to be seen. And most importantly, this film is a conversation starter, it needs to be seen by women, men and children far and wide. So, I need your help! Please can you get behind this movement (again!) and simply SHARE the trailer and/or tag some friends below that you would like to go see the film with. It's really that simple. If just half of you clicked share then literally tens of thousands of people will see the trailer and that will mean people will know about Embrace. This film is so important, it has the ability to change lives and for those of you who have seen Embrace you will know how deeply and genuinely passionate I am about changing the world and helping those who are suffering with body shame and dissatisfaction. So people power is what I am looking for, I hope you can simply Share and let people (at the very least) see the film trailer! Thanks and appreciation as always xx
