22.01.2022 Primal Paws is offering contactless rehab consults. Initial consult will involve a drop off assessment that you can participate in via video/Skype. Depending on findings we may have further drop off consults or we may swap entirely to video/phone consulting.

13.01.2022 Braggy mcbragfest!!! Yesterday SUCKED it was too hot so the girls only ran in novice gamblers, but it also ROCKED!!! Franky was too hot to do jumps but she went straight into the weaves with no hesitation- needless to say I was too distracted to run properly after that. Pix went out enthusiastically (coped better than franky in the heat) and did the tyre twice and the broad plus other jumps tunnels and the aflame. ... Today was much cooler and suited us better. Miss franky First JDX was a 4th place NQ Franky did a lovely JDX where I got very lost and she just kept soldiering on with random crosses happening around her and just one spin for 3rd place 1 fault NQ- that was totally on me. Snooker excellent our first time in the class and it had weaves our nemsis. I nearly went home early but figured I should work on her reconnecting if she disconnected and we had the most spectacular connected run for our first Q!! No hesitation in weaving- finding her own entry confidently. Miss Pix came out feeling rather... fresh and we had a happy but messy DQ jd. Next up in Snooker novice she got her first ever Q!!!!!!!! It was not ummmmm pretty with a great deal of yelling at each other about tunnels, running on each other’s line then yelling some more about that but we did it. We finished up in JD again with a 4th place NQ. So pretty ribbons and cards for both girls today. 05.01.2022 I hope all my friends and clients are safe and not at risk of fire impact now and in the coming weeks. There is additional risk in the air quality when we consider exercising our dogs. You can look up the air quality index for your local area to assess risk. Right now in Sydney we should be assessing the risk of taking our dogs outside. Particularly the old, young and brachycephalic breeds. Dogs with heart conditions and respiratory conditions also need additional care. ... This is a decision I am making as an asthmatic, for my dog and also for the officials and stewards to minimise their time out in these conditions. Super disappointed but I will give franky a kibble scatter and she won’t know she missed out. Please share this so we can spread the word that this is additional information we need to be looking at for our pets!!

04.01.2022 FIRST Facebook CLASS!! I have been procrastinating for soooo long about running a class so here it is. In its first round, we will be looking at analysing the posture and movement in photos and videos of dogs and possibly a few other species. It will focus on just getting the skills of looking and gathering data. It will be one month session. The next round will have a few working participants and we will set up different tasks for the dogs to do. Analyse their posture and ...movement and then make changes. Instead of coming at this purely as fitness/rehab we will be looking at this as trainers- aiming for positive behaviour modification. This means we will be examining the environment, how we cue the behaviour and what happens after. We will also get a dose of anatomy and a touch of physics as we go along. 03.01.2022 Kelpies enjoying a respite from the smoke. They have been locked in the house any time the air quality has been poor or worse so missing out on a lot of sun backing. I missed capturing Pix rolling around on her back.
