24.01.2022 A breech in the Android operating system updates called the "Pileup" flaw has been identified as affecting as many as one billion devices worldwide. An application using the breech is installed with little to no permissions the same as any other application, it then uses flaws in the Operating Systems update process to increase the malicious applications permissions and privileges. This gives the application dangerous access to your device and information. A fix for the breech has not yet been released but there has been a security app designed to test apps for the mentioned flaw, which is called SecUP.
