Building stren...gth through your shoulders, back and arm muscles is also dependent on your overall posture. The position of the ribcage, shoulder blades and shoulder joint, along with good head and pelvic alignment all play a role when working our upper limbs. A good example is a forward head posture that will contribute to tight chest and neck muscles this in turn can then prevent you from working the muscles through your upper back and back of arms correctly. If this is not addressed and released adequately beforehand you may be at risk of overloading your shoulder joints and/or creating discomfort through the neck.
