18.01.2022 Last year, a bibliometrics paper was published which analysed the 103 top-cited articles in endodontics. The number of citations attributed to an article is an objective indicator of the impact of the work in the field of endodontics. Dr David Figdor has co-authored three of the top 50 articles cited, with two in the top dozen of the most-cited papers in the field. There is only one other Australian endodontic researcher listed (whose paper is at number 68). 02.01.2022 The International Endodontic Journal (IEJ) is one of two leading international journals in the field of Endodontics. In a recent paper, the authors sought to identify the top 50 most-cited articles in the 50-year history of the IEJ. The number of citations reflects the significance of the contribution made to the field. All 50 identified articles had each been cited over 100 times, cementing them as classic papers in the field of Endodontics. It turns out that Dr David Figdor... at Prime Endodontics has been a co-author on three of the top 50 papers. Dr Figdor is a co-author on the number one most-cited publication in the IEJ! Adding to that, he is also a co-author on the number five paper. That means Dr David Figdor is a contributor to two of the top five most-cited publications in the 50-year history of this leading journal in Endodontics!
